  1. Thanks. It's just so much fun collecting these books!!!!!
  2. Thanks guys. I just love Golden Age books! Here's another photo I took last night of some of my favs.
  3. I was putting away some comics ronight and decided to do a couple of quick group shots. Here's a neat little progression (CGC 4-9) of yellow covers. I've posted these before over the years, but never in a group shot.
  4. Just got this book in. Low grade, but still pretty. I love "low-grade" books that look this nice. Here's a couple of spreads from the inside... Cool ad for Cap #16 All in all, pretty happy with this one. — Rick (Now, if only I could find a Pep #34 )
  5. The pic may be krappy, but the books are awesome Early FF's are soooo cool. Great group shot.
  6. My "new" Zip #22... I've had this book for a while, but finally decided to send it in for grading. Not high grade, but still a very pretty 5.0, I think. Believe it or not, it's the second highest graded copy, just a step down from the freakish 9.8 copy. — Rick
  7. That is a beautiful, BEAUTIFUL book!!!! WOW! Congrats on that one, sir!!!!!! — Rick
  8. Permission granted (thumbs u Very nice!!! I've always liked that MMC. — Rick
  9. It has a small erasure on the front cover that lifted some color. Still, really nice.
  10. especially this one!!! — Rick Thanks. It went really cheap in the last Heritage auction. There is a 9.2 coming up in May. I saw that. So far, I'm tracking over 50 books in that auction, with over two weeks before it even starts. Looks like another blockbuster auction for HA. BTW, that Superman looks very nice. 8.0??
  11. Richard, to all your books... especially this one!!! — Rick
  12. FF 31 is one of the hardest in the 1-50 run to find in high grade, and in the 20 to 50 range, it may be the very hardest one to find. It's also usually miswrapped with the front wrapping to the back; yours is amazingly well-centered. VERY nice copy there indeed. (thumbs u THX James! I've been jonesing for a nice 9.0 for some time now...had a very nice 8.5 from jimjum as a placeholder copy...the last one I saw on the boards about a year and half ago Bob/namisgr beat me to it by about 5 minutes... I've been bugging Bob off and on via PM to sell me that copy...it got to the point where he wouldn't even answer me... Congrats on the new purchases! THX Bob! I love you Man! My collection can't hold a candle to yours and many others here on the boards but I believe you know I LOVE the books/the hobby/the pursuit/the art/the stories/the genre/the whole thing Man! And very much appreciate the association... A true collector. — Rick
  13. CONGRATS ff!! Very jealous... Me too. Very pretty book! Congrats. (thumbs u
  14. Seriously, that must have been a really nice collection.
  15. part of the '10288 pedigree collection!!! One of my favorite FF covers. Great pickup.
  16. Great pickup on that #17. I really wanted that one, but settled with these two...
