are GI joe 150's rare/ what was the print run. thanks
I wouldnt say "rare", but 150-155 are certainly not very common books. Still, you have a better shot at a 9.8 in 150-155 than you would with any issue 2-10.

It's not Hama.
Happy birthday Skinny. Did Trimpe do that cover? I forgot.
-
Who signed it?
I'll let you know when I get it back.
You getting it regraded? My guess would be Hama, but what do I know?
-
Who signed it?

Bought a 9.6 21 for my collection the other day.
Large scan pleeeeze.
-
In 9.8, Id tuck it away. Theres not too many of those out there.
-
Well my GI Joe #155 is in NM+ so I would like to have the same for the special
scan??
-
yeah, the one you have is called Special Missions. The book hes interested in was a one shot from 1994 that came out with a very small print run. Its a reprint of #60 in which McFarlane did the art. The cover is of Snake Eyes which looks VERY similar to his version of Spiderman. This was done on purpose Im assuming.
-
theres a 9.8 on ebay some knucklehead wants $800 for. The MOST I would pay for the special in 9.8 would be 3-4 hundred.
-
Nah, not right now vegan. I basically moved earth to find a NM+ copy of 24 and never found one. Just got lucky on ebay back in '03.
Im a big cgc 9.8 with white pages GIJoe collector of issues before 31. (Thats the last issue snake eyes appears with his original costume on the cover btw. useless knowledge ).
I used to own an afa 85 of both the 82 snake eyes and orignal cobra commander. Sold on ebay 2002
Swivel arm or not? If you decide you need some money and you feel like selling your #24,25, just see me first.
-
I just loved Storm Shadow and how he rescued cobra commander. Gung ho got sliced and roadblock tackled him. Good stuff! Ill pay some good cash for your copy. Trade even?
-
Nah, not right now.
I waited forever to get my hands on 24.
I think there are several 25 9.8's out there though
#24 is my alltime favorite comic book. Most would think its 21 but its actually #24. Dont tell anyone.
-
Id sell mine for $300 because of how nice it is. Its a "High End' 9.6.
-
feel like parting with your #24 and #25?
-
Hmm, I don't know wolvergeek.
We may have to paper rock sissers this out
My collection is currently, out of #'s 1-30 weve been amassing is as follows:
#1 9.8
#3 9.8
#4 9.8
#5 9.8
#6 9.6
#7 9.6
#8 9.6
#9 9.8
#10 9.4
#12 9.8
#15 9.6
#20 9.6
#21 9.6
#22 9.8
#23 9.4
#10 and #15 are definite resubs #15 IS a 9.8 that got robbed and #10 is a 9.6 that got robbed.
-
probably around the end of April.
-
are you selling the # 5 and # 9 ??
If so send me a message.
Not sure yet. You feel like selling your #2 9.8?
-
they both had micro spine stresses. I have several 9.8s with spine stresses though. They both had a good chance.
-
Vegan, what about that Joe #21? Did it get sent in?
Both 9.6s.
-
Just got some grades back in from CGC:
GI JoE #5 my grade:9.6 CGC grade:9.8!
GI JOE #9 my grade:9.4 CGC grade:9.8..1 of 1 !!!!!
GI JoE #15 my grade:9.6 CGC grade:9.6
GI JoE #20 my grade:9.4 CGC grade:9.6
Strangers In Paradise #1 (1st printing) my grade:9.4 CGC grade:9.6 (highest)
I was quite pleased with this submission, needless to say.
I never thought there would be a #9 in a 9.8 due to its scarcity and because it always seem to be beaten down along the same lines as #21. The only issues left in the first 20 without a 9.8 are #s 10,15,17. Out of those #10 will be the hardest to find in a 9.8.
-
I was talking to a CGC employee who will remain nameless at the NY Comic Con today and they said that they "think" a G.I. Joe #21 was just graded 9.8. This person said to look at the next Census update.
This person also told me that somebody had recently called CGC to complain about their #21 "only" getting a 9.6. Gee, I wonder who that could be?
He didnt complain. He simply disagreed with CGCs grade. and that copy they "think" got a 9.8 was probably our other 9.6. It looked like a 9.8 until you got to the microscopic level.
-
even my 9.6s have stress lines.
-
I dont think it was short printed. Most people ignored it or sent it to the quarter bins and those who liked the book read the krapp out of it. (looked the [embarrassing lack of self control] out of it, i guess).
-
Once again...Joe 21 ...buying price $30. If 9.8 it turns into....$2000+. Thats a good investment. Even a 9.6 can bring $275+.
