  1. I bought this in approximately 1989 off the wall of memory lane comics in Welland, Ontario. Advertised as “near mint”, purchase price: $5.00 CAD. Has been read approximately 5 times since purchase. spine ticks! thank you very much for all of your estimates.
  2. Hulk 337 was one of the first comics I ever bought, off the newsstand. Was totally hooked by 340 because of the art(and Peter David). My brother was an Amazing Spider-Man collector so when I saw that mcfarlane had moved over to that title I started reading a lot more of my brother’s comics. I thought this was just a miswrap but the more I look at the back cover picture and the placing of the bottom staple compared to the top, I think you’re right. That’s why I love “hey buddy, can you spare a grade”. You guys are awesome. thanks!
  3. I bought this as an upgrade for my OO copy but I think I could have held out for a nicer one. Spine ticks.. I realize this book isn’t worth a ton, does that dissuade boardies from an attempt to grade? Thank you very much to anyone who gives this one a go!
  4. One of faves, I was always waiting for it to get ASM 298 kind of love. I appreciate all of your estimates.
  5. Upon closer inspection, it doesn’t seem to be a fingerprint but I’m sure it’s possible. Definitely a small smudge of some kind.
  6. Yeah I’ve never owned a prestige format book like this of any value before, it looks really nice in a Mylar, I may never send it in. Dealer advertised it as a 9.9 which I obviously took with the largest grain of salt. A 9.4 or better result would be fine for the amount I paid. Thanks for the input!
  7. Hi everyone, looking for an estimate on the grade of this copy. I am worried that opening this kind of graphic novel-type book to show the inner pages will possibly affect the condition/grade, am I wrong? Seems like the natural crease might bend or crease more if I do so. Thanks everybody!
  8. Hey everyone, wondering what range you think this copy is in. Tanning on cover edges. Thank you very much!
  9. Hello grading enthusiasts! She’s in pretty good shape, but there are the two small tears on the bottom front and back cover that do not seem to align with the manufacturing dings at the bottom of the pages. I wonder, how I wonder, how the defects might affect the grade in the eyes of a Cgc professional grader. Thanks guys!!
  10. Hi friends, wondering where you think this mid-grade(?) copy lies on the spectrum. Thank you as always for your excellent estimates. I can’t help but feel like this issue was like the original tenant to an apartment(giant man) made the mistake of accepting a room mate(hulk) who then had him kicked out for another room mate(namor) and then wound up kicking everyone out and just buying the place (#102)
  11. Hey everyone, wonder where this one lies on the lower to mid grade spectrum. Any guesses? Lies flat, no tears, no rippling but has some tanning on interior front and back covers and discolouration patterns on the outer page edges. Thanks!
  12. Hello grading enthusiasts, wondering how you think this issue with some vague upside would grade, definitely some water damage causing light rippling/staining/mold(? Black marks) which I realize hits the grade hard. Can c and p help rippling and/or water stains? Thank you for your time and estimates!
  13. Thanks again, @grendelbo. Nice win in the grading contest! Your estimates mean business now. 🤑
  14. Captain America begins his tenure! Love this cover, is Iron Man’s pose meant to welcome his fellow Avenger to the pages of TOS? let me know what you think of this well loved copy. Thanks!
  15. Hey grading enthusiasts, Always wanted to own this comic! Finally got my hands on a nice reader copy. Not sure if the missing pieces on the bc top edge, top left fc, and middle right fc are “marvel chipping” or the result of a pest. All of your estimates are greatly appreciated as always! Cheers
  16. And thank you for your detailed analysis kind sir. This is the grade I had it pegged at as well. I’m not sure a clean and press would do much for this comic considering tears cannot be untorn and most of the creases break colour. Might help the spine roll but not sure of much else
  17. Nice looking FC for such a beater copy, the gash on the bottom BC is gonna hurt, tears through pages to about the middle of the book. Thanks a lot for your input!
  18. Ah! I’ve been hoping and waiting all week for a fifth opinion! Thanks as always, funnybooks.
  19. The McFarlane-a-thon continues. This one has some issues, a non-colour-breaking crease or 2 on the right front cover look like they could benefit from a press. Would a cleaning be able to help some staining in the marvel box and 316 box? Thanks a lot for your opinions and estimates!
  20. Hello again, hoping I could get your thoughts on this one. I appreciate all of your feedback! E-bay raw.
  21. Good day! For your consideration would you please grade my Amazing Spider-Man #301? Highlighted is a ding on middle back cover spine. Thanks for your time!
  22. Couple dings on the FC spine I’m hoping a press will help. What ya think? I thank you.
