  1. My first shipment to Cgc in June. It arrived there in Sarasota this way and was refused by the company for liability issues(understandably). The comics were well packed but this box went through hell and there was minor damage to all four books. On the bright side I bought $500 worth of insurance from Canada post. I had to fight them to get the money and keep the comics but after explaining quite extensively that they had lost value but not all value they paid me out. I have since resent the comics and am awaiting their return. Really made me skeptical to send comics in the mail again though. I bought $1000 insurance this time
  2. Hello, I recently sent 4 comics together in a package for submission. 2 of them are pre-1975 and 2 are from the 90’s. In order to save the cost of paying for shipping twice, I paid extra for the modern books to be “value” graded and pressed along with the other 2. Will this decision be problematic for you at CGC or is it ok?
  3. That’s the gist of my question I guess. I tried to save the money on the double shipping by sending the 2 modern books to the value(pre 1975) tier along with the other two which are actually pre 1975. Thanks
  4. First time submitter perhaps having made a first time submitter mistake. I sent 4 books, 2 modern, 2 pre-1975 and they are the only four I care to have graded. I saved $100 on shipping(to Canada) by paying extra for the “value” tier for the grading and pressing of the 2 modern books. It’s too late to fix the mistake if it is one, package is sent.... if I pay more for the grading and pressing, does the CGC care that the 2 modern books are labelled as value press and grade? I realize now that they may go to different tiers of graders, but could a “value” grader not take care of grading a modern book if it got sent his/her way? thanks!
