  1. Recent pick-up from the VCC...no 9.8, but happy with it all the same!
  2. so, that only means in this Washington DC collection...doesn't nec mean he didn't pick them up along the way elsewhere... what say you BZ?....seems lots of folks are looking to know if 1) you still have a Tec 27 2) you have an Action 1 3) you have a Suspense 3 just paraphrasing for the hungry and underpriveledged (doesn't include you bedrock!) personally, I will answer for me... 1-yes 2-sold it in 1995 3-never gator More importantly...does BZ have a Marvel 1?
  3. I think it's great that you kept the one your uncle gave you! Nice upgrade.
  4. Captain America & The Human Torch Like those characters have captured the imagination of the world over the last six decades! Torch is gaining some popularity with the FF movies, but where was he since his inception? In terms of global appeal, you have Batman, Superman and Spiderman. Hulk, FF, etc are window dressing to the big three. What has DC come up with since 1939?
  5. a tough call for me as well....they are both my books, and I have a little "ping" in my gut suggesting that I should sell one and keep one ( to free up some cash so I can buy another Pre-Robin Tec! )......wanted to get a feel from you guys as to which may be a better "keeper", and so far the overwhelming choice has been HT1, however, just like you said, the MF62 will be/should be the 2nd highest graded copy ( once graded )...nothing to sneeze at! The MF62 is much rarer in grade, but the HT1 is still high grade-ish, and is a top 20 GA Key.........I can not choose!!!! I need more people to give their vote Steve I'd choose the MF62 for two reasons: 1. It's an uber high grade copy 2. It's a classic Spectre cover
  6. No real surprise I guess, as I chose Spider-man. What might be interesting would be to see second or third choices. 1. Spider-Man 2. Phantom Stranger 3. Iron Man
  7. Thanks to Steve (143ksk) for another set of accurately graded and well packaged books: All Flash 19 and X-Men 50. Even cooler was the unexpected global priority shipping! As anyone from Canada knows, the wait for the books to arrive can be extremely painful with USPS Air Mail.
  8. Thanks to cd4ever and JJBEE2001 for some recent additions to my collection (Star-Lord appearances). Both were a pleasure to deal with!
  9. Just plain awesome! What title and issue is the OA from?
  10. Congrats on the dedication to one genre!
  11. why do you keep buying this craap? You just wish you had my krap only fools collect third-tier DC titles Your joking right? Aparo Phantom Stranger rocked the house!
  12. I had bought an 11 (the detroit trolly copy from my bud marnin), but Jay's was a better deal (lower grade, but better cost), and I just was looking to move my 11 before I jumped on his....glad now, I didn't sell it gator Which dealer are you guys talking about? Don't worry I can't afford any Marvel Mystery's at the moment....
  13. Yes. There's a sense of satisfaction in finding the whole run, whether it's ten books or 500!
  14. If this: is deemed an apology by the board, then all is forgiven. I don`t consider it an apology, except maybe by an illiterate. How hard is it for a grown man to write, in actual letters, "I`m sorry"? I think it's close enough...
  15. You realize that no ASM collection is complete without an AF15 right?
