  1. Thanks! I try to make sure buying experiences are not aleatoric. (I don't know what it means either.) I'm embarrassed to admit that I had to look that up in my nearby Oxford... very appropriate.
  2. Thanks to Chris (ckb) for a well priced Spectre 3 & 5! Packaged like a Shermann Tank.
  3. It's funny, I say that grade doesn't matter for the ASMs in the 1-10 range, but I couldn't buy the ones offered in the marketplace. They were just yucky...
  4. Ed, I'd talk about my Phantom Stranger collection, but I'm not sure anyone would be all that interested... I'm going to have to do some reasearch (look at some back issues). My gut reaction would be Kirby. If ASM collectors are common, it means I'm in good company.
  5. Three pickups (2 silver and a bronze) I wish this forum was as active as the one for the golden oldies....
  6. Thanks go out to quality comix for some nicely graded ASMs (22, 23, 95, 129). He's a pleasure to do business with!
  7. Great pickup! I will be on the look out for a copy because I am an ASM completionist. (Low grade of course) Funny thing is that I always hated the Green Goblin storylines. I'd rather have a Kraven, Mysterio, Electro, or Doc Ock story any day of the week. Hmmm that reminds me, I need to pickup a copy of ASM Annual #1. For all of you completionists out there, do you have to have all of the annuals for it to considered a full run?
  8. Kudos to comicdey for some great ASM and Silver Surfer books. Who needs scans when you're dealing with Collin?
  9. Another post Christmas purchase... I just wished they wouldn't take 10 plus days to arrive from the US.
  10. Kudos to 143ksk for the sweet Spectre 1 and surprise Archie.
  11. Here's some recent pickups from board members:
  12. Kudos to Aces for the FF50 and ASM 25. Good packaging and grading!
  13. Kudos to Point Five for ASM 28 and Adventure 433. Thanks for the full disclosure on the restoration. Love that Molten Man cover!
  14. Kudos to House of Comics for helping me fill some holes in my ASM collection.
  15. I have to go with the Bagpiper! ...and which one would you choose, a vg TL1 (digest), or NM TL 706 with the first appearance of Paperinik? I know you'll probably stay up all night trying to choose
  16. Here's a recent purchase from Point Five (still in transit). Thanks Jon!
  17. Thanks Filter 81 (Adam) for the Silver Surfer Books!
  18. Thanks to qualitycomix for some great early ASMs. Grading and packaging were top notch!
  19. Kudos to Mr. Dey for his strict grading and excellent packaging! He also made a real effort to help me with some of the gaping holes in my ASM collection. 50 to go and counting....
