  1. I’m at the point where I need to decide whether or not to keep trying for the run. I have 209 to 215 and have had them for a number of years. 216 has been elusive in my grade and price range. Might be time to break up the run and pursue other books?
  2. @Math Teacher, I think prices are up just about in all keys at this point. Many people have disposable income (myself included) since many of our discretionary spending outlets are gone. Perhaps too much idle time too? I spent way more on books than in a normal year. Is that likely to continue once things open up? I would suggest No. Once travel opens up, I plan to take the family on a trip to somewhere tropical. That will put a damper on my spending. I’ll be back in the mode of selling books to help fund the hobby.
  3. Let’s see some graphs! What do you conclude from the data? Why the big discrepancy between the two websites?
  4. Yep. I have a lot of money tied up in my mini 1-50 ASM run. I have a few in the latter half of the Lee/Romita run and debating finishing it again. Frankly selling later issue ASMs has allowed my to buy lots of other cool and expensive books.
  5. It's a good thing I prefer Punch 9 over 12.... Nice book Jon!
  6. One of the nice things about collected editions is that I’ve been reading titles that I never would have thought to collect. I’ve been enjoying some 1970’s Marvel Horror recently. On that note, any thoughts on Man Thing? I may have accidentally read a story about the character in MTU but can’t say I know much about the character other than it introduces Howard the Duck? Is it worth the purchase of the Omnibus reprint coming out soon?
  7. Todd was at the Calgary Comic Expo a couple of years ago. He was signing books for free, so the line was massive.
  8. I’m glad they are reprinting these because this side of the hobby is new to me. Most of my singles are long gone and those that I still have are encased in plastic (CGC) and frankly worth too much to casually read. I just wish the Marvel Spines had a consistent look. I plan to get FFV2 to 4 and suspect they will have a different spine to my V1.
  9. It’s also a beast in terms of side. It would never fit in my tiny little office nook.
  10. True, but think I would have made more on buying some mid tier Marvel Keys instead.
  11. Perhaps you’ll be right this time? I’ve put money in DC keys before and been disappointed with the returns. Admittedly, I didn’t buy a Showcase 4. Maybe once I get a few more Marvel keys, I’ll pickup a BB28.
  12. They should move away from the direction taken in WW 1984 as quickly as possible.
  13. I spent more this year. As mentioned previously in this thread, I had a lot more disposable income since we didn’t travel, eat out, go to concerts or sporting events. I also had way too much idle computer time. I definitely missed all of the above and can’t wait to go to a Con again, but understand the appeal of online shopping now.
  14. It was unfortunately a letdown for me and my family especially after the first film. It felt tonally wrong. Was it trying to be an 80’s satire? The way they resolved things at the end of the film just felt off. The acting and Fx were solid. The screenplay was a hot mess. Aquaman was much better and I didn’t really like that film. Missed opportunity... 2/5 PS: In Canada, we were able to stream it on VOD for $30. I really regret the purchase.
