  1. Mine was The 1982 or 83 New York Comic Art Convention. I was 13 years old and I remember buying Xmen 113 and getting it signed by Chris Claremont and then getting lucky on an Xmen 94 at the auction for 35$ but was too late to get Claremont to sign it. Still have both books. I think I might have bought Conan 2 at that show also.
  2. I think the archangel look was defiantly his best look. All the early X-mens costumes were so bad. They look like a bunch of B list wrestlers. Probably why they weren't as popular back then.
  3. Are you sure he's not real?! He seems to have signed that book. But seriously maybe it was the editor in chief whom im guessing is being spoofed as Irv Forbush (Referee) or even Stan Lee himself who signed it like that in keeping with the credit joke. Don't know but fun to hypothesize.
  4. So your saying that because it was a give away it dos not count as a price variant even though it's the same book as the regular 184. Hmm Interesting.
  5. Then there's the king daddy of all. The no price all detergent sticker 1st app. Of white dragon price variant.
  6. Hmm, I think both my 2 and 4 have loose center pages and thinking back I have a vague memory of them being like that after the first time I tried to carefully read them. The books themselves are very stiff with those thick glossy pages so kinda pretty awkward to read and not overly suprising they popped really. Probably just bad luck on my part though.
  7. Yea they are half decent on the outside but almost all have loose center pages. Seems to be a production problem with these books.
  8. And theses too. No Idea where Densaga 3 wondered off to. hmm
  9. ASM 168, 177 Dr Strange 19 Strange tales 181 Iron fist 3
  10. Just found my middle school copy in a box of old comic journals etc. Alas it's seen better days.
  11. Thanks sweet signature series yourself, and yea the ink on this book is super deep. Quite a few small defects but the colors are almost dripping off the cover. I believe you might be correct that the color deepness differed from book to book in the silver age and before. I`m defiantly no expert but it doesn`t seem likely the color differences are purely due to fading when you have a lot of pretty worn books with deep dark colors and super nice copies with lighter colors.
  12. Yea when I have time I'll send some more scans. Looked like a bunch of 80's FFFB, some Mr. Natural and Zaps in there. Bunch of magazines on the bottom that I didnt get to. Probably Heavy Metal and Epics.
  13. Found my box of undergrounds. This one was on the top. hope no Insects got to the others.
  14. Yea First Class has always been a **** shoot in respect to time, especially international, but in my experience it came through 98% of the time. Only those back boards and one other time has the shipment not come in eventually and just for reference I've had a clothing import business for 25 years.
