  1. I was hoping to find 12 x 18 mylar 2 mil flap. Not sure if there's such a thing. I only see 4 mil no flap available.
  2. Congrats to the winner of the FF #236 The Thing Transformation page. I was the underbidder. I didn't think it would hit 30k...but it did.
  3. Seeing how TOS #39 page 10 went for $336k last year. This should go somewhere between $450-600k....maybe.
  4. This will be my third year going. Last year I didn't pick up anything, but this year's different. I already have a pick-up with Burkey. I agree with Xatari, premier night is usually where I open my wallet. The remainder of the week I just do the normal walk through and check out everything. Can't say I've connected with any fellow collectors at the show. Met a couple here and there. But overall love the experience and I made sure I make my dinner reservations way in advance.
  5. Back in 2021, just before I moved onto OA. I collected graded sketch covers. Now at the time, that's what I could afford. I did like the idea of collecting an original sketch onto a graded book. Especially when their commissioned. But when I kept seeing the same thing over and over again. Everything got repetitive. Maybe less than a year, I sold everything at a loss. I can see how people like collecting them. It just wasn't for me.
  6. Congrats Jason! I skipped all 3 auctions. My will power overwhelmed my wallet.
  7. Great purchase on the Ditko page by the way. Probably one of the better pages I've seen from Ditko in a long time.
  8. Wasn't Burkey the owner of that page? if so, takes care of the remaining amount of that Ditko Spidey pin-up.
  9. I'm happy to say one of the pages you mentioned here I won! I was expecting the worse, but it ended up little lower than I thought going in.
  10. The Olivier Coipel Black Cat #2 Variant Cover that went for $6300 w/BP. I believe that was sold on another dealer's website for around $15k. Yeah, that one hurt!
  11. These auctions had my heart racing that's for sure. Especially when a page comes up that you really want.
  12. They're really dragging that Jon Bogdanove and Dennis Janke Superman: The Man of Steel #21 Cover ...Geesh! 2 people must've really wanted that cover.
  13. I went after the Jim Lee Fantastic Four DPS page...fell short. I thought that would go a lot higher.
  14. Thats low right? I thought it would go a little higher.
  15. The 50k page didn't have a Ghost Rider image either.
  16. So the Mike Ploog Marvel Spotlight #5 Ghost Rider went for $32k w/BP while another page went for 50k a couple of years back. Prices dipping?
  17. It did and the Cockrum went low as well.
  18. Maybe I'm in the minority. But I try not to check auction bids till the week of the auction. I don't want to let the crazy bids discourage me from following certain pages. And I have quite a bit tracked in Aprils HA. I feel like a lot of pages will go high in this one.
  19. CAPTAIN AMERICA #205 PAGE 16 Current Bid: $11,250 Number Of Bids: 62
  20. I was curious about this page. This one sold back in 3/3/20 for $7566. Then on 6/7/23 sold for $9601. Then came back again and just sold for $11,000. At least it's going up.
  21. Defintiely looks like a great time! Hoping to plan a trip for next year! Thanks for sharing!
  22. I was all in on CGC sketch covers for about a good 10-month stretch back in '21. Had some gems during that run Jim Lee, David Finch and Mike Zeck. Probably the best piece was the Neal Adams sketch I bought on eBay. Sketch covers were all later sold to help out on my OA addiction so to speak. No regrets here.
