  1. Got a new Captain America page. This is from Captain America Chosen #5 page 5. I love how it tells a bit of his origin story and him chasing down the bad guys. Mitch Breitweisers's best art was in this series IMO.
  2. LOVE that straight, white spine!!
  3. Just got back into the Hulk 181 club with this beauty!...
  4. So I just got a decent upgrade from this.... (which had panels cut out) to this.... (also panels cut out, but in a place that doesn't affect the story)
  5. I have this: ... and I would like to trade for a nicely presented low grade Hulk 181 CGC SS by Herb Trimpe alone.
  6. Sigh, I used to have a 9.8 signed by Turner. Sold it for $480 soon after his unfortunate passing (not to cash in, I had a personal emergency). I miss it so. I also had a raw foil version but sold it too. All I got now is a raw regular Renegar. It is one of Turner's best covers IMO.
  7. You guys have some serious talent. I'm just getting back into drawing and decided to try and emulate Bill Watterson. Here's my attempt at one of his landscapes. I sketched and inked it by hand (did NOT trace) and did the colors in Photoshop.
  8. I had to have this as soon as I learned about it. It is such a cool read and a great cover!
  9. I've been waiting for the right venue to post this. It's the color guide for Darkhawk #17. At least I think it's a color guide. The colors you see are not printed, an artist actually created the colors using what looks like markers or water color over a scan of the original drawing. The "In your face" voice box is a stat which means that maybe it wasn't the original intent to have it there. I was floored when I saw this for sale and HAD to have it. It's one of my favorite covers!

I work for a FOX affiliate and saw the pilot last week. It is VERY good!
  11. If you ever want a tour of the studios, just let me know. Nice! What is your DSLR set up? I have a Canon 60D with the Magic Lantern hack and a 24-105mm L lens. Nice setup. The 60D's vari angle must be great for shooting video. I don't shoot vid, just stills. I shoot full frame The flippy screen is very crucial to me for video which is why I haven't gone the full frame route. From my research, anyway, video quality is about on par when comparing the 60D with, say, a 5D MKII and since I do more video than photography, I'd rather save the money and buy more lenses

  13. Ha, thanks! yeah, a friend of mine gave me a USB NES controller and I tend to do a little emulated gaming when there is down time. I feel very fortunate that I get to set up my cubicle area the way I want and was excited to make this video. Glad you guys like it.
  14. So I am a designer studying DSLR videography and thought I'd try out a new slider/dolly set-up and film my office cubicle. I got some cool comics (to me) and other things in there. Check it out!
  15. Looking for this page from Ultimate Wolverine vs Hulk #1. Any leads would be fantastic! Thankyou.
  16. Just got this beauty in the mail! only 1 of 5.
  17. Sweet! I used to own that page. Glad to see it's getting some love. Looks great in the frame!
  18. Here is my Comic Cubicle. Thinking about putting three more right above the first row. (Star Wars 1, Detective Comics 423, Secret Wars 8, Captain America 103 and Wolverine 2) This is my framed Watchmen poster I got from Blockbuster hiding from the boss since we aren't allowed to have posters this size hanging on our cubicle walls. And this is my Usai Yojimbo poster signed and sketched by Stan Sakai! And for fun, here is my AT-AT zen garden.
  19. I got it back!! This was a grail off mine that I sold a while ago to pay for my wife's wedding ring. I never expected to get it back but suddenly things lined up, sold a piece had, discovered this was for sale and then, boom...it's hanging back up on the wall in its old frame! I'm super stoked!
