  1. The way things are going, it might be worth holding on to.
  2. I'll try. I'm actually overseas now. (I live most of the time in Brazil.) I didn't know CGC would be so slow to grade, so I thought I'd get it back before I had to leave the US. Family members are receiving it for me. I'll ask them to take a photo and email it to me, but they aren't very tech-savvy. Attaching a photo to an email may pose a challenge to them, and since they are already doing me a favor, I don't want to this to become a major hassle for them. If they manage to send a photo, I'll post it. Otherwise, I'll take one next year when I'm back in the States. tl;dr I'll try, but no guarantees.
  3. I agree. I'm sure there'll be a short-term dip in the near future, but I think I'd really regret it if I sold it now and then checked the price again in twenty years. This is definitely a long-term hold. (Plus I enjoy being able to brag that I own a $35,000 comic book.)
  4. I'll use my first post to join this group. I bought a TMNT #1 first edition back in 1984 when it first came out. Back then, I bought all my comics from a wholesaler, so I actually paid less for it than cover price. I've just started going through my old comic book collection, separating out the most valuable comics. I figured I should send TMNT off to CGC, since not only is it valuable, but it wasn't even bagged! I'd feel a lot more secure with it slabbed. CGC said it would be a good candidate for pressing, so I authorized pressing. (It had gotten a bit rolled, since it hadn't remained completely upright in the box it was stored in.) I was expecting a grade from 7.0 to 8.0, but when I finally got the grade, it was 9.6! (Certification #3710982001) I'm quite happy with this news, and I'll be holding onto it for at least a few more years, so I can enjoy owning it for awhile.
