  1. I made a video on my experience for more context. But overall, I would say I have been satisfied with them. Sent in 80+ more cards to them for grading and building up more bulk submissions to send it. I think perception is pretty good at the moment as well. Decent eBay sales, constantly seeing posts about them on social media. Give it a bit more time, and I think people will see the value in CGC soon.
  2. I think Custom labels will just clutter up the market and consistency even further. I think establishing a consistent look in the TCG market is how CGC will go far.
  3. Yep, that's my exact point. There is no way to tell and it shouldn't matter to CGC either.
  4. You should be able to cover your own international return shipping. I would contact them about how to do so.
  5. I don't see why you couldn't. I've submitted bulk orders to PSA in the past where my friends gave me some of their cards to get graded so that we could qualify for the bulk rate. Not sure how CGC would be any different.
  6. I believe CGC is still only grading modern Japanese and English. All other languages are only graded up until the end of the Wizards of the Coast era.
  7. Yeah no where do I mention that I feel ripped off. If anything, I praised the service for the quality and turnaround at a reasonable price. Just something I thought I’d mention in the review as while some people might just see the “as low as” price, I’d say most costumers aren’t submitting reaching bulk requirements, factoring in subgrades, or return shipping. Just the extra pieces to be aware of.
  8. Yeah, as I said in the video too, I just love subgrades. It lets people shop for the exact condition of item they want and allows for a more nuanced market where strong and weak grades can be properly value. Also think it just looks better with subgrades on the label.
  9. I definitely recommend reaching out to them on IG. I found that they respond quite quickly on Instagram and are very eager to help. Let me know if that works.
  10. Thanks! That's why I'm posting this review/video. Hoping to encourage people to use this platform to discuss cards and communicate with one another. We are only two months in, so can't expect too crazy of a forum just yet.
  11. The card value is also something I’m closely monitoring. There is definitely a market inefficiency in regards to short term pricing as CGC is new with trading cards. My hope is that more people learn about the quality of their grades and how strong a 9+ from them is. As for Marvel cards, while I do like that they are currently focusing on two large markets to try and stabilize their footing, I think they will eventually offer some service for said cards. Seems like a missed opportunity for them to not let people grade their comic cards with their comics.
  12. 100% that this is a big draw at the moment. Atm waiting 3 months minimum for my order to be returned seems extremely rough. That TAT is fantastic, and if you are looking to get anything slabbed I think it’s worth just sending it in and seeing how you like the cases.
  13. Just got my first order back in the mail. Was an economy order that was received by CGC on 8/3, and returned to me on 8/21. 18 day turn around for 7 cards, and with the weekends factored in I think this turned around time is extremely impressive. Here is my short review so far: + Really like the cases. Clarity is on point, feel sturdy and are sized nicely. As others have said, the size is very comparable to PSA slabs. + Option for sub grade is a nice addition. Worked out well as not all the cards I had submitted needed them, and was nice to be able to save money where I could. + Return packaging is phenomenal. They pack the cards in a nice foam holder that separates each one and keeps them secure in transit. + Labels look nice and carry plenty of information. + Grades and photos were available online by the time the order shipped. - The grade numbers aren't all center. I noticed on the half point grades were slightly skewed in the box. - Noticed a small speck of dirt under the case as well. When I reached out to CGC about this they said they could take care of it since the issue was on their end. - The pricing is a bit deceptive. While it is advertised as "as low as $8 a card", when factoring in shipping cost and any sub grades, the price quickly adds up. Overall, I was satisfied with their service. I have already gone ahead and sent in even more cards in a bulk order. When factoring in turnaround time, quality and price, I am happy to keep working with them. Made a return video as well in case anyone is interested. Let me know if you have any questions.
  14. Do you mean to ship to them? The shipping price they have at checkout is the price to ship it back to you. For that, I’ve been going with Fedex as it seems to be the cheapest option through them. As for shipping to them, yes you can just ship yourself through USPS. Just sent in 70+ cards for $10 with USPS.
  15. I think I saw on their IG that they have plans to open up their European branches later on, but at the moment it is just their US office in Florida.
  16. My first CGC Pokemon card order has moved from "Scheduled for Grading" to "Grading / Quality Control". I was wondering if anyone had an estimate of how long this stage would take? For reference, it is an Economy order. My cards were schedules for around two and a half weeks, totaling for around 13 business days. Still well ahead of schedules.
