  1. Not sure if these fall in obvious or not, but the Book Market version of 546 with "Not For Resale" on the cover; the 1:10 variant of 546; 569 variants including the 2nd print; 570 2nd print; 572 2nd print; 611 2nd print (Skottie Young cover); 637 variants. There are a ton of ratio variants in the 600-700 issues especially. If you come across this variant of 667, it's completely worthless - don't bother looking it up, just send it to me, thanks:
  2. Oh for sure - I'm planning on taking these to the next show I sell at. But I have a few copies of Merc with a Mouth 7 (1st Lady Deadpool) and Alpha Flight 33 (1st full Lady Deathstrike), but only 1 copy each of New X-Men 114 and 115. I was just hoping for those other two characters so I can sell more (and I think Lady Deadpool would be awesome).
  3. New Berlin Ale House 16000 W. Cleveland Ave. New Berlin, WI 53151 $4 Admission per Person + Kids 12 & Under get in free Sunday September 24th, 2023 10am-3:00pm
  4. Dang, I was hoping we'd get Lady Deadpool or Lady Deathstrike. But I did recently get a copy of New X-Men 114 for $2, so there's that.
  5. Thanks for the follow up and explanation, I appreciate it!
  6. 2 bullseyes but 8 points. Not too terrible I guess... Chilling Tales #13 - 4.0 - Bullseye! Diary Secrets #30 - 3.0 - +4 Horrific #3 - 2.0 - +2 Doctor Solar #1 - 5.0 - Bullseye! Avengers #7 - 8.0 - +2
  7. I wasn't sure where to put this - I know CGC does some limited concert poster grading/encapsulation, but I was wondering if there's a service out there (CGC or otherwise) that grades/encapsulates other posters and prints? I have a number of Shepard Fairey art prints, and I was curious about encapsulation vs just getting them conservation framed...
  8. Ha, this just illustrates @MAR1979's point that "no one size fits all," because you and I commented almost the exact opposite sentiments at almost the exact same time! It just proves that there can be a lot of personal approaches to collecting.
  9. This is how I've always felt about it, especially when talking about graded books - I've written this in the past, but I'll quote it here: If I had unlimited funds, I'd go for the highest grade possible in every book. But since I don't, I buy the books I like in grades I can afford and am happy with. For example, I have a 4.0 Detective 359, a 6.5 Batman 232, a 7.5 Batman 234, a 6.5 Batman 251, etc. For me, I'd rather have those 4 books in the grades I have them in, vs. one of those books in a much higher grade for the same total cost.
  10. That's great news! Amazon usually doesn't mess around when it comes to customer service issues, at least in my experience. I remember ordering the Star Wars Blu Ray box set when it first came out, and the shipping notification went from a normal delivery pattern to some kind of "return to shipper" exception. I chatted with them and the sent a new one immediately. A few days after the new one came, the original one also showed up on my doorstep. I chatted with them again to let them know, and they just said, "thanks for letting us know, but we don't need it back." It probably costs more for them in time/money/etc. to deal with the return than to write off such a relatively small amount.
  11. I paid $30 (plus $12.50 shipping) for this crazy Batman-related lot on eBay. Some condition issues on a few of the books as to be expected. But for the ones I wanted the most out of the lot, I was pleasantly surprised - especially on the Joker books and most of the TPBs and prestige-format books:
  12. There are some interesting open order variants too (interesting because of the cover artists, I haven't seen the actual art anywhere yet). A Skottie Young, a JTC negative space, a foil, an "homage" variant of some sort. And I'm sure there will be a ton of "exclusive" variants as well.
  13. Apparently they're bringing it back in a new ongoing series. They're not necessarily exploding in price, but they're rising a bit and people are buying.
  14. Not sure about new releases, but Superior Spider-man 1, and to a lesser extent, ASM 700.
  15. Got a great delivery today from @Blastaar, including a sweet bonus comic - thanks!
  16. Got it, thanks for the info. I don't know that waiting on these books is going to give you a value increase. I'd say if you're ultimately looking to sell anyway (either now or waiting to see if you can get more value), I'd list them now. The obvious caveat is I don't know what the market will bring or I'd be filthy rich. But in general, these are probably not books that are going to see significant increases by waiting. You can try to sell them here and bypass some of the eBay fees you'd incur, you can try them with MyComicShop, or you can try them on eBay - far more eyes, but they take a big cut. Edit to add: The alternative is, if you like them and especially if they are fond reminders of the person who bequeathed them (and I'm sorry for your loss), you could consider making a donation yourself and keeping them.
  17. Not bad at all - you're still ahead of me, and I managed 6 bullseyes so far across the 3 rounds! I'm sitting at 22 - that's how poorly I did on round 2...
  18. I went back and forth on that chipping too. And I was gun-shy from my terrible 15 point performance last round (5 of which were on the HoS 92). So I just went with my gut.
