  1. They actually put the stickers on the book itself??
  2. I believe the current argument as it stands is that McFarlane is coming out with new 7" Page Punchers toys, and each comes with a comic book. His toy line has a new series of Flash Page Punchers, and the Flash has a new design that is "McFarlane inspired" and comes with a brand new Flash #1 comic that is not a reprint of anything existing. Same as the Batman/Constantine/Black Adam that was in the first set of 7" Page Punchers - those came with a brand new comic as well that was not a reprint. The speculation/argument as I understand it is that, since these are new comics that are being done by some legitimate talent for DC, and since the creative teams are basically being hired/directed by Todd, it could be an indication that he'll be taking on a role in the comics side of the house, not just the toys.
  3. Oh man, I really got into the Zur En Arrh stuff for some reason, I just really liked Grant's Batman run. I still need to get a Batman 113 (the first appearance of Zur En Arrh from 1958), but I was glad to pick these up over the past couple of years:
  4. I've mentioned this before, but at least to me, I like the newsstand issues now because that's pretty much all I could get as a kid. It's a nostalgia thing for me personally. I remember going to the town drugstore and the supermarket and picking up comics, cards and candy with my paper route and lawn mowing money in the mid to late 1980s and early 1990s. The nearest comic shop was an hour and a half away, so it was a rare occasion that I got to go to one. Most of the books I bought came off the newsstand. Wish I still had them all in good condition, but I sure did enjoy reading them to tatters.
  5. Years ago, Kevin Smith did a "Fatman on Batman" podcast with Grant - I found it to be fairly interesting at the time; I might have to give it another listen. It's really long, but it was great back when I was commuting 2 hours a day for work. I found it on YouTube, not sure if it's still out there on any podcast platforms:
  6. I mean, if it is EVS, I'd love to request a Joker sketch if he's taking requests... Dude can flat out draw - I watch this video (below) and some of his other drawing videos sometimes just because it's so cool to see someone pull out a blank page and create like that. Jim Lee has a few drawing videos out there too - I'm guessing other artists do too, I just haven't run across them. There's just something relaxing to me in watching people draw.
  7. Nice! I didn't realize there was a 2nd print, I'll have to check my copy.

  10. Is it a buy-it-now listing that expired and re-listed? I believe the BINs auto-relist every 30 days or something like that if they don't sell.
  11. No, sorry about that - I've been "cocktailing," which is a much fancier word for drinking bourbon... so the double take was a mistake...
