This eBay listing is NOT a Heritage listing. Presumably listed by the 100% legitimate buyer using our images, which We have no problem with.

Just an update.
To address a few issues.
The consignor is a major EU dealer who attended the Lake Como show which Mignola also attended. We have never had an issue with him over the years.
As many of you are aware, we take in may consignments at the deadline. This one slipped through.
Mike immediately, confirmed that this is not authentic

I know Mike Mignola and have reached out to him to confirm. In the meantime, as we always do in these situations, we will inform both the consignor and winning bidder. We of course, will offer a full refund.
Any questions, please feel free to contact me directly

Summer of 1949 the scarce final issue of THE SHADOW...
-
How about this Shadow Horror cover..

That's in great shape! Cool cover, too. And what a cool name for a magazine: Unknown. Later in 1940, July I think, Theodore Sturgeon published a favorite story of mine, with the extremely creepy but very succinct name of It. Unfortunately, I've been unable to find so much as a cover image for that particular issue (which I'd love to own someday).
..while not as well known as others, UNKNOWN is considered one of the best.. sexy cover, this is newsstand mint, probably a file copy.
Also features the Reign of Wizardry for which Frazetta would later create his most provocative cover.
I believe that may have been in the August 1940 issue.

No problem deleted the comment and link.

a high grade Weird Tales, Finlay cover. Looks like Lord of the Rings!
By the way, if we were looking at it from a comic art point of view you would promise that this is a classic Kirby layout with the faces coming at you in distress! March 1939 coincides with Jack's entrance into the business.

How about this stretch for a tie-in, the teaser at the beginning of the story reads,
"What supernatural hand had sent these screaming "Bat Men" down from the skies..."
Seemingly unread copy

The Feb issue is by artist John Drew, the other two are by David Berger.

Understand both sides of it. Sellers want reserves buyers do not. What really counts, is how reasonable the reserve is and if the item is worth the price.
By the way, just because an item does not have a reserve does not mean it gets noticed. Most buyers get very myopic missing out on great opportunities.
