Looking for a Rom panel page with the Spaceknight featured in at least one or two panels. Doesn’t need to be splashy or a significant story moment. It’s not a grail or anything for me, just trying to hit the nostalgia button. Pls msg me if you have one available.

If you check out comic art tracker, there are actually a few pages on the market right now. Pretty nice ones, too. Good luck!

Basically this. Seems he doesn’t want to accept he might’ve overpaid for a piece that isn’t what it was described as. And he might be too new to the hobby to understand auction houses are often not accurate.

Regardless, I like your piece better. Mostly because whatever that pocket thing is on Blue Beetle’s waist, it looks like b**ls on his piece. I thought it was nsfw at first. 👀

Look like those berries grew without any twig, too…👀

I think the drops Felix orchestrates for his artists is brilliant. The model works for him. I'm not sure many other dealers can do it like Felix. The problem for me is when I heard Felix was dropping a whole book, I just didn't have time to figure out how the drop works. I didn't get a page from this great series. I wish you well. I probably made a huge mistake after those drops by posting a thread on CGC specifically praising the art. Conjecture over valuations soared, and as I tried to by a page in the $4500 range, people didn't want to sell or I was outpaced by other collectors with deep pockets.

I wish you well. I think I need to see one of the SSB pages go through Heritage to properly see what the market will value the pages at. You were smart (and maybe lucky?) to get this page. Good luck.

Actually, I was not one of the lucky ones that got it from Felix’s original drop. I had to pay a premium to get it from another person’s collection, because they almost never show up in auction or for sale. Privately, these sell for $30k+ between collectors. I’m trying to put one on the market that is attainable by dropping the price, and offering a trade plus cash option.

Edit to add: And my wife would hotly contest that smart stuff😁 Also, thanks for the well-wishes.

I was presenting this as a ridiculous no-brainer: panel page with no one on it vs DPS featuring title character at lower price!? But maybe I'm missing something. The 2001 page has Kirby's variation on the famous bone-to-spacecraft cut--does that seem valuable?  I'm just really trying to understand this result ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

My guess is that it’s a fresh to market situation. That DPS was on a dealers site for quite a while at a much higher price (a little more than double its sale price). I was present at a couple conventions where I happened to notice that it was shown (shopped?) to a couple  other dealers, too. Maybe that got them to not bid, making the market lighter? Just guesses, but I think those put downward pressure on that piece. I’ve noticed a couple other dealer pages that had similar prices and discussions, so maybe that’s a thing?

I just e-mailed Josh at C-link to inform him of the good news and to suggest he alters the description to reflect what it is he's actually auctioning-off.  He's just acknowledged my e-mail, so hopefully a more accurate description will follow.

I might as well just copy and paste yours, because I came to post the exact same thing. Heh. I think they are aware now.

  6. All good points. Definitely wait a few to get more info, as there are people here who sell a LOT more than I do.

    For @shadroch:

Does the fee difference make up for possibly getting less, depending on the company used? Not disagreeing, just asking. I don’t really buy comics anymore, just sell, so I don’t know those others as well.

Thanks for the response !!! So basically you are saying use heritage for a fee based on the sale because it will be worth the expertise and efforts on their part?

I would say so, yes. And you also have the benefit of their PR, and their usual clientele. If someone is not conversant with selling, or has both trepidation and a lack of knowledge on the market, I would think that heritage is the best way to go for your best price, with the least amount of stress. I’m sure some of the more advanced collectors here can chime in, and correct anything they disagree with, but I’ve been doing that for the last few years, and it’s been great, imo.

  8. No need to stress it, imo. If you approach heritage, they will work that all out with you. Which issues should be pressed and graded, which should only be graded, and which ones will be best sold raw. With a collection that size, you should ask them to give you a break on commission. You should get at least 10% (15% is their standard), I would guess. Also, all fees come out of final sales. Good luck with the sales!

  9. Also, they inked the image a little more,  manipulated the left arm and tilted the image, and then used it for a marvel poster. I’m pretty sure I remember seeing it on a marvel toy from the 70s, too. Spider-Man shield or something like that?

😏EDIT to add that this was already mentioned upthread. I do think I saw it on another toy, though.

For those that did not read the book, Marvel did not kill the Punisher.

      Reveal hidden contents

booked ended with Frank not dead but sent to Weird World, and is protecting a group of kids, while his resurrected wife is pregnant with his new baby.

They left it wide open for more Frank. 🤷‍♂️

    Long live the Punisher. 💀

Someone on FB brought to my attention that there was this press kit pop up book that has a trademark stamp of 1991.
I can't really tell when or where it was actually
distributed, could anyone shed some light on this ?

It’s just a guess, but judging from the date, and that piece in the lower right corner, I’d guess this was made for the TV upfront announcement for the show. (Usually in NYC in early May). They sometimes make presentation packets and promotional stuff for the press, and this could be that, imo.

  12. Hey, everyone. I have a few pages for sale, from both Sal Buscema and Humberto Ramos. You know the dance, buy, sell, buy, sell, and dip. I accept Zelle, Venmo, or PayPal. Here’s a link to the listings and some pics. Full offer trump’s negotiations. Thanks for looking!

Sal Rom page is now on hold

I have combined the two Ramos pages to sell together.
