  1. Difficult to speculate, but yes, Kirby aside (cause he IS the king ) Most other of the legendary pencilers like Ditko for instance owes atleast a part of his success to being at the right place at the right time... Still amazes me how relative affordable later Jungle issues are when they surface, even in high grade. also true for midissues with no Matt Baker and no bondage covers... and Fran Hopper and Lily Renee are almost as excellent as Matt B.. The few i have cracked have given me thorough enjoyment, but think i will maintain the rest in slabs and instead look for reader copies on the bay..
  2. Heya, make me an offer on those two if you are interested.. GA for sale More GA for sale
  3. Thats one of my favorites Definetely my cross-over favorite
  4. I cant believe this great thread had fallen to the bottom of the second page.... Anyway, rarely have I had so many beautiful ladies in my bed at the same time...
  5. btw the 6 looks to be without overhang? apparently im told overhangs are notorious on this book...
  6. You need to get yourself a scanner Other than that, sweet books (im working on a 6 at the moment myself, only a 9.0 though )
  7. Congratulations Matt! That's a great-looking Action! Fantastic "headlight" cover in the more sober meaning...
  8. Imagine if I'd sold my overcopy... Let's see the overcopy Very nice Thats a stunning cover ! Congrats to both of you for owning a copy of such a splendid book
  9. The cover to daredevil comics 2 is maybe the most spectacular one from the golden age at all
  10. Im game.... and planet 6 is a great starting choice
  11. But none were high grade unrestored... Yearh that's right! it was some cheap-*spoon* drek!
  12. Big time drool. Stunning copy ! (and you have more than one )
  13. That is just brilliant Steven Ritter was a man of few words though but i would have to agree with him
  14. nice copy the red colours in the "X-men" seems fresh! one of the 7 i am missing in the 1-66 run
  15. Yes and i think it was that #40 that made you leap frog me, you bugger!! If you are talking about the registry then dont worry... i might soon take it out of my sig line to leave space for a more thorough Wantlist...if it makes you feel better i cheated and put in the X-men 1 even though it is cracked.. in defense i have a couple of books that are not available in the registry due to scarcity of slabbed copies but i think would be worth some points if they were... btw wait till i receive this one so i can read the registry number and i will leap further
  16. yearh i was in on the 35 as well, but agree the bidding went ballistic. Same goes for the 8 in 9.4 which reached a pretty high price as well. Price on the 40 was decent, just above last GPA, but still good because prices on the warehouse copies have been ever declining down to the point where they are almost undervalued now.
  17. I know it is reprinted material, but i have always liked the cover, you cant go wrong with Lou Fine! and thanks to CL this was secured (if grade is accurate ) at 40% guide, which to my knowledge is not the norm on this book
  18. Havent seen a dedicated thread for All-american comics yet... maybe because no one cares about them Anyhow i felt i needed to start a thread on them after my recent CL purchases. I cant wait for them to arrive, i absolutely LOVE the cover on 75 I was able to get them for considerable less than guide percentagewise, understand that the 77 may not be a hot GL cover, but the 62 is fun and the 75 is just a stunning GL cover imo
  19. My only X-men pick-up in the recent CL auction... i was in for a couple of others but spent my money on GA instead
  20. It is even lovlier in person! it would fit nicely in your tec27 trashcan...isn't that where you keep all your tec 27s? My blodpressure is rising when someone mentions Tec27 and trash in the same sentence ..... i doubt that i will ever hold one of those in person oh and btw..
  21. Very nice!!! Thanks Casey! Sometimes I have to pinch myself to make sure I am not dreaming! I would say! As always Bill, you pull out some amazing stuff
