  1. Ouch on that cut out huge chunk off the front cover. Probably could've graded out as a 3.5 if still there.
  2. Wish I knew. I thought I remembered in the video posted that he will create a COA for each book and then he will start unloading them. Of course I could be wrong or maybe he was offered on some books and sold them like the AF 15.
  3. I wonder how much he sold the AF 15 CGC 5.5 for If I knew he was already selling books (was waiting to hear news as to when he will start selling), I'd probably make an offer on it.
  4. Nothing else matters to JayDog. To quote the Terminator movie "Listen, and understand. That [JayDog] is out there. It can’t be bargained with. It can’t be reasoned with. It doesn’t feel pity, or remorse, or fear. And it absolutely will not stop, ever, until you [accept his viewpoint on PQ]." Had to change a few lines
  5. Yes you or anyone else do not want to argue about PQ with JayDog. Shhhh, he seems to be sleeping or busy and probably has not seen the PQ quotes yet. I suggest you delete them all now before he sees em or else.... Doom comes to us!
  6. I don't know a whole lot about sports cards except the ones collectors are always talking about (T-206 Honus Wagner, 52 mantle, etc.) and that the Wagner T-206 is supposedly the most valuable card of all sports cards, didn't know there is one that can match or perhaps in this case be the more valuable one. This is the 1st time I've ever seen this Ruth card. Thought his rookie card was from the Goudy series or something like that. Good to know.
  7. Insane and a PSA 1 at that!? What's the highest grade ever recorded? Seems very rare if a PSA 1 sells for that much.
  8. The shipping price shouldn't be your problem. The buyer should be well aware of where you are shipping the item from, in this case Canada as it would say that on your ebay sales page with the shipping price. It is up to the buyer if they want to pay $200 for your item + $35 shipping. It's not like you are hiding the costs from them.
  9. Hard to keep up now I do a lot more of this instead
  10. Yes that is true too, but even if prices then were cheaper, it could be out of other people's price limit to buy. A lot of people do the waiting game thinking that the bubble will burst, prices will come down, etc. But from what I've seen it hasn't.
  11. Signature with tracking is your friend. If it says that the package was delivered to that address than that is all the proof you need and what ebay needs if ever you needed to open a dispute case or if the buyer opens a dispute and claims not to have received the package.
  12. But in all seriousness, I think if you take all the average prices of every book in the GA era, SA era, Bronze era, etc. up to modern age, you will see a top peak at the GA era gradually coming down in order from SA to BA to Copper and so forth.. I think between copper and modern you might be able to see more of the same leveling off.
  13. At least you have a Bat 1 A lot of collectors out there don't and cannot afford it.
  14. They've been in business for years and years.. They must be doing something right and have repeat customers.
  15. What I don't understand is, why wouldn't you accept their bids. I know because their low feedback, but you don't know for 100% certainty that they wouldn't pay. And even if they did pay through ebay, you will certainly get your fees back because the buyer backed out of the sale or you can do a 2nd chance offer to the underbidder. Not like you are losing $$$.
  16. I guess there's always that saying "never say never," but in my own personal experiences and from other buyers and sellers who have done business with them before, they seem legit.
  17. I'd like to add a book or two as well but at these crazy prices for the top dog books and the super rare ones that pop up once in a lifetime for sale make it tough to shell out more $ beyond your limit to try and win.
  18. I'm pretty sure SparkleCity would right away contact any low feedback bidders to check whether they are serious about purchasing any item. I've done business with them before having both won books and consigned major key books through them and they have always been honest and well-trusted.
  19. It would be interesting to see if the market can absorb all these prime selection of books this year.
