  8. I bought an ASM #1 from Mitch and what can I say, the transaction went perfectly smooth! I highly recommend this seller because he took the time to bubble wrap, package, boxed up, etc for shipment. Thanks again Mitch!
  9. Yeah it's really all personal opinion at this point. The Venus copy looks fine, only has a small strip of tape attaching the interior.
  10. Personally not a fan but if it is on the interior and just a little bit, it's fine. I dislike tape when it is sealing up both covers together or unnecessary tape piece on pages and the cover.
  11. Brittle pages tops for me. I have passed on so many nice looking key books like pre-robin tecs that look much nicer than the grade, but the brittle pages is a no-no for me.
  12. not too shabby. Predictions? I'm thinking $118k
  13. I like the new option to have a custom label for WD. Definitely targeted for WD fanboys and a great "collector's" piece. Also an extra added business for them since I'm sure some people would have their holders relabeled. I'm not a modern comics collector, but now tempted to just buy a WD book for the new custom label.
  14. With the price hike, all copies are purdy if you own em
  15. I'll see if I have any white paged book in my box and will feel it to compare with a lesser pq book.
  16. Thanks Spiderturtle. I'm happy with it :). I'll post a scan in it's new CGC holder when I get it in hand.
  17. Thanks J and yes I do not want to talk about PQ
  18. Yep that is true as well. But between white pages to say cream to offwhite, in terms of suppleness, how do you determine it just by feeling the paper? They feel the same way to me as long as it does not tear or crumble easily.
  19. I think that the highest grade a complete spine split would go is a 2.5. But more likely 1.5
  20. Welp, I wanted to share my recent submission on my AF 15 that I cracked out of a CBCS slab. CBCS graded the book as a 4.5 offwhite-white pages. I cracked it out and submitted it to CGC at WonderCon this past week (straight submission). Just got the results today through my Collector's Society Account and it graded out as a CGC 4.5 cream-offwhite pages. I was surprised CGC may had been harsh on PQ because when I was flipping through the book, I knew it wasn't offwhite-white as the pages were a darker, thinking offwhite for sure. Goes to show once again that PQ is all relative. Sure it's easy to spot white pages and brittle pages, but everything in between is now a mystery for me. I'm happy with the grade which is the main factor of this experiment. Oh and CGC does have the notes on the book for free and available when you check the status of the book. So kudos for CGC for having the notes now
