  1. Very jealous! Sold the 7.5,5.5 and 4.5 at NYcc so down to just the 8.0. Time to buy more seems like Hulk 1s are still hot
  2. Anthony was a pleasure having to do business with. He wanted me to set-up short time payments for him and it all went through smoothly. Thanks man! (thumbs u
  3. My CGC 2.5 above has Cream-offwhite pages btw Thanks!
  4. Once you pay for the notes, you will receive them instantly via email.
  5. Notes would say something like: Small piece bottom left corner Color touch on top left spine Small stain on inside page Etc..
  6. Kudos to Marcus for his speedy payment and quick communication. A+ for him Thanks again!
  7. You guys and your white pagers! Beautiful specimens of Hulk 1 guys!
  8. Nope. Printer was running low on ink. You look deeper you will find a quote from Image regarding this. What he said... Thanks fellas (thumbs u wouldn't you think that their printing machines would actually have a warning signal that the ink was running low so they can change ink? It's pretty neat to have both variations. I actually like it
  9. Picked up a 1st print Revival 1 last weekend and noticed that the Revival title color is orange instead of red. I haven't read through this whole thread since there are over 200+ pages ad I don't usually go to this forum, but is one more valuable than the other? Thanks
  10. You should ask and see if you can view both books in person
  11. Great detective work! I hope the auctions can be taken down somehow.. Would suck if the winning bidders paid and not receive the actual book.
  12. Yep it should say the pedigree name as well if the book is indeed a pedigree.
  13. Yikes seller from another country... It's a big gamble that's for sure.. BTW, something's fishy about the CGC serial number on the Hulk #1 Looks artificial
  14. the clink one ...only viewed on my phone, but now I am happy I didn't win it ! How much did it go for? It was at $26k last time I saw it. 29k. A little weak IMO. Probably a 34-35k book if a little more structurally sound Agreed.. Probably a result of auction fatigue
  15. Aww man I can't believe I missed this thread! First day in and i'm just cracking up The Rifleman one with Richard and Dale is just too perfect!
  16. With all due respect and I am not trying to talk about your purchase, but I consider unrestored copies to be a complete book, coverless book, or a book missing a cover. I don't consider calling just a single wrap or page to be in the same category as unrestored in the CGC census.
  17. Wow that 2.0 went for cheap! I was thinking above $2k easy
  18. Nice haul. Where's your SC4. Thanks! It's somewhere in my sofa couch.. Still trying to find it
  19. My mistake.. Had too many drinks last night
  20. I still think Tec 33 is waayyyyy undervalued! Origin of Batman retold!?!? Come on!
  21. Don't be silly, it's already up for sale in for sale thread!!! And to think, another board member was trying for it before it was snagged should sell it to them for what he paid I don't mind the humorous jabs -- I understand the point of view. Nevertheless, I'll do my best to explain. I purchased the book well under FMV after the original poster expressed some hesitation (thinking he may want to hold off for a higher graded copy) and after I discovered that no one had put the book on hold or made any commitment. Taking that into consideration, I had no hesitation so I made the move to purchase the book. I did not have any intentions of flipping it -- as a matter of fact, a few board members had PM'd be shortly after the purchase to see if I had any interest in selling and that if I ever decided to let the book go, to keep them in mind. My opinion has always been that anyone is welcome to make me an offer, but the intention here was to hold onto the book. I even contacted the board member who originally posted about the Tec #36 to apologize. I never intended to display poor board etiquette, I just went after a book that was available on the open market to anyone. If that reflects poorly on me, I'm more than willing to own up to it and take it on my shoulders. But if you ask anyone who has ever bought, sold or traded with me -- I'm confident that they will attest to my character, reliability and respect for the hobby as a whole. Another opportunity presented itself and I committed to purchasing another major book. In order to fund this purchase, I have no choice but to let the Tec #36 go. It's not that I want to sell it and it's not that my intention was to make a quick buck but rather -- I'll need every dollar to go towards my current purchase. It is because of that that I'm looking to sell the book around FMV. Detective Comics #37 in CGC 1.0 has sold for over $1,700 all the way back in 2010. Detective Comics #36 guides for more, sells for more and is tougher to come by in a CGC blue label. So again, the only reason it is available is to fund a future purchase -- such is life sometimes even though I'm sure we'd all like to hold onto all of the books we pick up. I understand your POV and agree that because the previous interested party didn't ask the original seller to hold the book to purchase that it would be open to anyone to buy the book straight up. The one thing here we are all confused about is that everytime you make a big purchase, you only hold on to it for a week or so to get another "grail" book. When will you actually keep a book and hold on to it as a collector?
