  1. Yeah, best part about it is that it has no marvel chipping. I actually thought the pages were more offwhite - white, but oh well
  2. Thanks guys! I'm mainly a GA collector, but I am very attracted to SA keys like the book I have up right now
  3. Just got this in today from CGC.. What ya think?
  4. THanks Mac Man! How are the early Tecs going for you? Can't wait to see what you bought (thumbs u
  5. Well, this is certainly a Gerber 10 as I believe this only Tec 48 book with a double cover
  6. Will do (thumbs u.. I wonder how much it's worth? I don't quite know how much double covers go for. terrible defect destroys any value. I'll do you a favour and take it of your hannds for you I can trade it for your Tec 27
  7. For all you double cover lovers out there.. Just got this beauty back from Ebay today.. Tec 48 (1st mention of The Batmobile and Gotham City; 3 Highest graded copy certified; part of an OO collection). 1st cover = 7.5, interior cover = 8.0
  8. Will do (thumbs u.. I wonder how much it's worth? I don't quite know how much double covers go for.
  9. Since I haven't seen this thread for a long time, I decided to bring it back as this was my favorite thread (being a Batman collector of course). I just got these books in today.. The first is a Tec 48 Double Cover (definitely one of a kind as this is the only early Tec book I know with a double cover; 3 highest graded). Also this book came from an OO collection. I bought this book together with a Human Torch 5 and a Hit Comics #5 which I sold already. There were some early Actions in that collection which I didn't buy Tec 66 with bone white pages!
  10. Wow what a group shot Billy Parker! Your Hit Comics #5 used to be mine until I sold it off to Steve Ritter. It came from an OO collection that I bought a few books from. Is the CF still detached?
  11. Ahh I remember that Tec 33. Used to be Metro's then Ben bought it from them. And then he traded it for his MM 9 to Parker I believe... Beautiful book and thought about making a deal with it about year ago. But anyways, I'd go for the Tec 33 for sure.
  12. I'm going to the Phillipines next month searching for a couple of grails. I hope there are in better condition than those books in that picture were though. Oh cool, have you ever been there before? What grails are you searcing for there? There's a few comic shops around there, but rarely did I see any GA or SA books. Good luck with the hunt!
  13. Wow, I wonder where in the Philippines that took place... My dad used to collect comics, but he told me they were thrown out by his mother!?!?! It would be a trip if he was in that pic
  14. Could be that the cover was cleaned with a solvent bath making the covers much brighter and whiter than the interior. That maybe how the covers shrunk a little bit. But, this is all speculation. Best to hold the book in your hands. Good luck!
  15. Action #1 for me too for reasons i've already said at another post
  16. GG! (thumbs u Way cooler plus its much more rare I'm with Ro on this one. I'm with Bill on this one
  17. Tec 27 cus its the 2nd most valuable book ever and it features Batman's 1st appearance. Restoration on this mega-key doesn't bother me as it is probably te only way I can afford this book
  18. Definitely Cap 1 by a longshot! A true classic American cover and a pedigree to boot
  19. I'd take the Tec 27 in a heartbeat. This is a special case in which trimming doesn't bother me as much as it would have. The trimming is very slight and probably the only way I can afford a Tec 27 if I can even afford one in the first place.
  20. Sensation 1 for me too.. Much better cover and much more attractive looking
