  1. Wow, cool double covers fellows.. Just a couple of questions about them since I've never owned one yet.. But, how much is the price difference between a double cover and a regular single covered book? Is there a significant difference in the value? Does it vary between GA, SA, BA, etc.? Also, when CGC'ed, do they take the front cover's condition and give it that grade or do they avg. the 2 covers out or take the double cover's condition's grade? Sorry if these have been answered in previous posts. Thanks!
  2. Tec 31 for me too because of its cover! My fav. cover in the Detective Comics run.. Although Tec 35 is rarer.. But I'd still take a 31
  3. I prefer the #31. But I need a #35 to complete a pre-Robin Tec run I'll trade you my Tec 35 for one of your Tec 27's so you can complete your run..
  4. AA 16 for me too! I love the cover and its one of the top 5 GA books. I was actually looking to win the book, but had other interest in something else.. Oh well, some other time
  5. I'd pick Whiz #1 (#2) as well.. Book is much harder to find than the Supes 1 and being higher graded doesn't hurt either. Between Flash 1 and Batman 1, I'd say Flash #1 because its a Mile High Copy and the highest graded book on the sensus.
  6. Amazing collection Rick!!! Not a surprise at all.. So what's next on your list to complete?
  7. Awesome set of MM's Rick! THanks for the shot!
  8. a spooning beautiful sight! he said "spoon" gator Just beautiful Ronaldo!
  9. Tough call to as everyone knows i'm a big Batman fan. I've never owned a Batman #1, but I would probably stick with the Marvel #1. 3rd most coveted GA book and it's a Larson! But, it would still be a tough choice for me.. I don't really have to worry about it as I can't afford any!
  10. Thanks Brian! Hopefully some more Pre Robin Tecs. I really want to get a nice unrestored #35-37 as well as ANY 31 or 33 So many books so little money My point exactly.. Well, I have my Tec 31 on ebay right now if you want to make an offer
  11. Beautiful books Ronaldo! Whats next ony our list?
  12. I'm guessing 19k! Its a pretty weak 5.0 in my opinion I agree to that! Looks more like a 4.0 to me in my opinion. What bothers me most about the book is the writing on the front cover. Will definitely keep on a lookout on that book.
  13. Sweet books! I still want an unrestored Tec 31.. Anyone have any to trade with in the 4.0-5.0 condition? Still haven't decided if Id like to trade my copy, but its worth a shot to ask.
  14. Yep, def. my fav. group shot of them all. THere's just something about Batman that gets me. Mind if you post your group shot? I know your pre-robin tecs are far better than mine
  15. Thats a GREAT group shot. Congrats! i hope to be posting some group shots soon of my GA books and coincedentally it'll be thanks to Rick also what a guy!! somebody should start a Praise to Gator Thread or something...... B. You want to? I can start the Praise to Gator Thread
  16. And a 36 as well... I won't be getting a 27 in a very very long time unless some generous and giving person is willing to donate a copy to me
  17. DK that is one hell of a shot (thumbs u I only have the #29 so far Hey, nothing wrong with just having a #29. Thats a tough book to get in any condition! You know what's ironic, that was my first GA/Detective book and the book that made me want more pre-robin Tecs. I'm sure you're feeling it as well. Good luck with your run! It will take a while, at least it has for me.
  18. They look fantastic together! I tell you that Gator is an accommodating guy. Thanks Bill! Still not done with the run as you can see... Yep, Gator is one heck of a guy! I have nothing but praise for him (thumbs u
  19. I just updated my pre-robin Tec group shot with a Tec #33 i received recently. I'm very happy with my recent purchase and I couldn't have done it without the help from Gator. Thanks again!
  20. Hmmm, interesting.. From an investment standpoint, I may go for the GL #76 as I see no price drop in this book.. But if it was something I'd keep for my collection, I'd take GL #1 as there are plenty of 76's out there and I'm a GA guy
  21. A very good point made by Rick. I think it's best to have the book restored to some extent to keep the book in better preservation as it is right now. Tec 31's don't come along often and restoring a book like this to keep for ages is I think a good idea too. I haven't seen the book personally, but by PT's reaction after he got it CGC'ed, he was very upset about the purchase due to the price he paid I and the brittle pages. I don't mind having a book that is 1.0, 1.5, etc. as long as the pages are supple and are far away from being brittle. But if you are happy with the purchase, than that's all that matters. Just my .
  22. Hey Fish.. I hope you didn't pay too much for the book. Since the book is low graded and brittle pages, I'd have to price it around $3-$4k.. I hope you didn't pay a premium for this book. Brittle pages can significantly lower ANY book's grade no matter how high the grade is. A lot of collectors, like me, keep away from brittle page books because as time progresses, the corners and pieces here and there may crumble from the book.
  23. Yeah, I felt bad about your deal PT. WIsh you had those books back especially the Action.. At least you have some pretty cool Tec books that I want from you.
