  1. Crack it Adam!! If you do crack it open, please post a pic of the page quality on here too
  2. Sure! I cracked it out of the slab as soon as it arrived. The pages are fantastic! Holy Moly, talk about white pages!?!? Very nice pickup!
  3. Ahhh every nice Mind if you can post it on here? I've always wanted to own a flash #1, but I have my priorities right now on which books I need to have first and Flash #1 is probably too much for me right now anyways.
  4. Nope he doesn't....anymore! The 7.0 is in my box now! You mean you bought Filter's 7.0 copy ? Or did you mean his 7.5?
  5. Hmm this is a toughy. I'd certainly own a Tec #1 over a #26, but the 26 is a Mile High Copy with white pages. Seeing that i'm not big on extensive restoration, I'd probably take the 26.
  6. Yep, I'd sell the Flash one too.. Im not big on extensive restoration and since you have 3 total copies of it, why not get rid of one and maybe get something else.
  7. Yeah, I'd take All Star #1 as well.. I cant deal with brittle pages either
  8. Hey Rick, Very nice pickup on the Tec 36. It was a tough decision for me too to let it go, but I had to since I am pursuing a 31. I'm glad that one of us picked it up. It certainly looks great from the picture. I guess at that time, I was going more on the pedigree status rather than the book itself because I've never owned one until now or should I say soon (Just picked up the Det. #50 Crippen Copy at Comiclink). So im excited to get that in the mail soon. And thanks for offering it to me first when you get an unrestored copy. I just have to do things one step at a time. Brian P.S. You have an adorable son hello all... thanks Brian...just goes to show everyone, that good karma exists...Brian and I had both emailed the seller of the tec 36 the exact same offer, without either of us knowing about it...just happened that in one of our email exchanges, Brian mentioned to me he was looking at it, and I responded that I too had been looking at it...however, I think all will agree, persuing a 31 is more "iconic" than the 36, so Brian bowed out and let me get the book to fill the hole in my run, but when/if he is ready for it, it is his for cost (since that is what he would have gotten it for anyway, had I not of bought).... Admittedly, I didn't initially know it was the CA copy until Brian told me (I just knew it was a 36), so that helped me validate the higher sales price (it was about $500 more than I would normally pay, but what the heck).... I am definitely starting my son early on the GA bats...he asks me everyday if I have gotten him a "new batman comic book"... rick Yep, and i wanted Rick too fill the "hole" in his collection. It's always nice to see a collection in progress and then being filled up down the line. I'm glad then I mentioned to you that it was the Cosmic Aeroplane Pedigree.. I don't think the seller knew about it? He mentioned in his description that it just said it (kinda like someone's first appearance). I don't know if you told him about it or if he figured out it was a pedigree. Well, I'm still deciding on the Tec 31 extensive restored. I guess I'll wait and see how much the restored 4.5 copy on Heritage will go for and then I can see whether it is worth the price he is selling me or not. But, if I pass, it's all yours... Glad your son is looking into the GA Batman's.. When he grows up, he will realize the fun factor in collecting these hard to find books and actually owning them. Maybe someday, my kids will enjoy what I have collected. I'm definitely starting young so I can build up my collection when I'm older. Well, I guess I'll ttyl. Brian
  9. That's funny...Dark Knight really doesn't look the way I would've pictured him. You just never know I guess... Haha, I am the "Dark Knight" Rick was referring too. I do have a pic on the thread "How do you look like" in the General Boards if you are curious to see how I look like.. In the pic, I am holding an Action Comics #1...

  11. I just love those early Detectives.. After I do my fav. Bat covers, im gonna go for the pre-Bat ones
  12. hello all... thanks...while I personally love restored books that have great page quality and look great, my customer is not a fan of restoration, and he only wants unrestored, 5.5 or better (with 1 and 2 being the exceptions)...we had a beautiful # 7, but it came back from cgc with color touch, so our 1-30 run I thought I had completed, now has a hole in.... Brian, when you are ready, lmk ! rick Haha, thanks Rick.. Give me about... 10 years?
  13. He stated in this thread (i think) a while back that it's a run that he's putting together for a customer. All to be delivered at one time. Now that's a mail day to look forward to I wish i was the post-man to deliver the books
  14. .. A job well done in putting those books together for a customer.. Maybe you can do mine too when I get more $
  15. If that's the Detective 31 that Bob had earlier this year, it has quite a bit of work done to it. I looked at it in person at WonderCon earlier this year. Still, a very nice looking book though. How did you know it may have possible restoration work? Because, as I said, if it is the same one Bob had earlier this year, it has quite a bit of work done to it. I inspected the book in person. I'm pretty sure its the same book you inspected earlier this year.. Im wondering then why Bob would say it had slight color touch on the spine?

  17. I'm soo jealous of your collection!?!? Why can't I have gorgeous books like that??? If your buyer for the Tec 31 doesnt push through, please notify me immediately
  18. Restored books sold by reputable sellers seem to sell better raw than in a slab. Ever notice that? Now I do
  19. The books Bigloo has on ebay are amazing. I guess he's unloading a few books for perhaps another big purchase? Or could it be because he has better copies of these books? I'm surprised that the Batman #1 in VG condition either mod. or extensive professional restoration is up at $8500 with 2 days left I wanted that book too, but it's just too high..
  20. Nice looking Tecs Juggernaut .. I seriously need to buy some more
  21. Very nice Tec books.. Makes me want to buy some more when I get more $ to spend
  22. Ahh very nice copy you have their Sacentaur.. Very nice eye appeal, bright colors, and just a premiere book to own. Looks like it's in FN condition!! Ever thought about having it slabbed? I finally get to see my baby's twin Im very happy that I purchased this copy with off-white to white pages!?!? I'm into quality pages alot. Yea, I hate to see the tape and without it, would certainly grade much higher, but I guess it's whats holding the book together. Well, im certainly not going to stop on acquiring more early Detective Comics.
