  1. Since this thread is solely about AF 15, I kept it that way. We are pretty much in all time highs with practically every SA, BA, and some (maybe? I don't keep much track of it) modern key books. So, if one were to add books such as XM 1, GSX 1, MS 5, Ultimate Fallout 4 just to name a few than they're basically paying current top of the market. Who knows how much longer this will continue, it's all a guessing game at this point. Will prices continue to soar or will it get a correction? I'm betting on the latter as with anything that has soared at huge increases in %'s, more than likely, that item will surely go through a dip buy. Not a bubble pop crash type is what I'm predicting. Right when I saw the exponential increase in sale prices happening first with X-Men 1 then moved on to FF 1, 5, 48 and DD 1 earlier this year, I knew I had to jump in quickly and buy some SA key books before it moves onto those books I was looking at. At that time AF 15 was still "quiet" as well as Hulk 1, TOS 39, and JIM 83. I already have an AF 15 so I managed to buy a Hulk 1 and TOS 39. I was so close to adding a JIM 83 but I ran out of spending money to buy . Sure enough within a month's time of me adding those books, prices climbed.
  2. If you are not a club member yet, you definitely missed the boat
  3. The original owner must've been this guy
  4. I'll give you a lifetime supply of fish n chips for it
  5. CL has been on fire with their private sales! With this AF 15, a Superman 1 CGC 1.5, Batman CGC 4.0.. I guess these buyers are cashing out on their recent AMC stock sales
  6. According to my sales records, CL sold two CVA 8.0 copies for $261k in May and $235k in July. Not sure if they were the same copies.
  7. Yep, new record price for the grade. Must've been the CVA sticker
  8. There's another CGC 9.0 copy just listed on the CL Exchange (same buy price as the one that sold).
  9. After studying past sales data with and without the CVA sticker on the slabs, practically every book with a CVA sticker sells for much more
  10. I love me some ASM 3! I had two copies one was an 8.0 which I traded for a video game straight up + $1k and my other copy which I still have is a 7.5. Unless I upgrade for cheap , they're not going anywhere
  11. I showed up at around 5:30 am and there were 12 people ahead of me (the first few people in line had a bunch of their friends lined up too) so technically maybe I was really the 8th? The bold that highlighted is the SMART thing to do given so many people including myself were interested in the collection. Yea, I feel bad for the owners of the books because they could've easily realized more money had the lady did an auction of some sort or have those interested write down on a piece of paper your max bid and whoever had the highest amount gets to buy it. Was just poorly organized and like others who were interested, extremely pissed. They could've also had a viewing of the books setup on a table the day before so I can see what I'm we are dealing with condition-wise. What's more, when I asked the lady how much she sold it for, she wouldn't even tell me nor anyone else as she said it was pointless. If it was pointless to her, why then would she keep that from us?
  12. Around 100 according to the estate lady who handled the sales
  13. Apparently in one of their videos, they mentioned a stack of the books has some bluish colored dye at the tips or top edges of the books that goes through all pages. They said it wasn't color touch .. Right...
  14. Yea I was surprised too that the ASM #4 CGC 9.0 sold for more than the ASM #3 CGC 9.0 . Both copies had excellent eye appeal so it wasn't like the ASM #3 was weak for its grade. The only thing I can think of as to why it sold for less was because there was also a ASM #3 CGC 8.0 copy too. It seemed like there was a buyer who may have forgotten to bid or was too late to put their max in for the 9.0 and instead, ended up bidding and possibly winning the 8.0 copy hence the high price
  15. Spidey books on fire! I wish I bought copies in higher grade . That is all
  16. Agreed! Those covers on the 6.0 were just bone white! The 8.0 was a weak looking copy.
