Unexpected 111 with house ad for Showcase 80

Unexpected 110 with house ad for Brave and the Bold 81. Note, not the cover but the splash page (1).

Received this from the Fantast Collection and the Fantast store itself. There was a bit of a mix up and they worked with me to make everything right. Even sent a free t-shirt!! Very happy with their books and customer support. And this copy, Brave and the Bold 81 CGC 9.6 White pages is sweet!! Dark green cover and Adams interior artwork makes this very special. For some reason it does not quite get the normal Batman love, but it will get the Dover love for certain!

Recently I have started to track DC house ads that contain Neal Adams work. This has been fun, for me, as it proves the level of my addiction. But I did find something interesting. Unexpected 110 contains a house ad for the upcoming Brave and the Bold 81 (cover and art by Neal) but it is not the cover to B&B 81. Not certain if it is the interior splash or an unused cover. Either way, something fun to share.

These two showed up on my door step from the @Randall Dowling. Just spectacular. I hope to get them slabbed to preserve them for my viewing pleasure.

I could talk a lot about Neal's Superboy run, and I have. He captured the teen-angst, growing, maturing in images that I still consider his best run. This one is in my Top-6 Neal's.
