BULK W/ SUBGRADESDate Received: 3/15/21Date entered into system: 4/14/21Cards: 51Service: TCG - BULKCurrent status: Grading/Quality ControlHaven't been charged yet, comin up on 8 months CGC has had my cards, they also wont respond to my emails, TAT quoted when I submitted was around 60-70 days.
-
don't they take a picture of all your cards by default?
-
I made this exact request about a week ago and I'm still waiting for it to reflect in my submissions.
-
Didn't notice the first time reading through it but they are removing the discount from lower tiers and reducing the elite discount to 10% per card.
-
be aware it will need to go economy, will be graded, and shipped separately from the bulk order. it may be worth waiting till you get a few >$100 cards to send at once.
-
also increasing prices across the board, I must be an outlier in preferring things to be charged sooner than later.
-
what does that mean for cards already graded? can we get them re-holdered?
-
I go to the post office and ask for a receipt. This ensures the item is scanned in. And is proof I dropped it off.
Had a package lost forever just putting it into a blue bin

I just looked at this submission. It is currently on business day 18. I believe you are counting Thanksgiving, when we were off. It is in slab, and is moving through the process.
Paul
11/16 to 12/14 is 21 week days, with thanksgiving makes it 20 business days.

if you think that's bad,
Service: Standard (20 Days)
date delivered: 11/06/2020
Date received into system: 11/16/2020
Current Status: Scheduled for grading
Today is
20th business day since its been received into system
26th business day since delivered to CGC
39th calendar day since delivered to CGC
I expect another week at least at this rate, and doubt I will get them back before Christmas, which these were supposed to be Christmas gifts.

The way they write their SLA, they are still inside of 20 days as they start the clock once it's 'received' in the system. All the grading co's seem to fudge the stats by not starting the clock until it's been fully 'received'. There's a guy above that was received the same day and his are graded/sent, so that 11/16 day must be close to the processing point for standard submissions right now. Hoping more 'bulk' orders get posted so we can see what those look like.
Where are the SLA agreements that state this?
every other company is clear up front stating delays in opening and receiving in packages. not CGC

my 20 day sub has been sitting at CGC for 35 calendar days (24 business days)

bear in mind PSA charges you based on the cards value post grading. that Charizard will cost around $1k minimum to grade with PSA. up to 5k depending how well it grades.
to grade all those cards with PSA expect a grading bill of 4-5k USD.
CGC will charge about $50 per card to grade, and get it back to you within a week.
-
my last Sub took 10 days to be received in. turnaround times are almost guaranteed not to be met anymore. if they get any longer, people will go back to BGS/PSA and times will prob get better for a bit!

So, I was just curious that if I were to send my new PSA 9 card to be graded by GCG instead (to match my other cards), is there an option ensure that the PSA slab will only be cracked once the grader is almost certain that they would be grading it at minimum of a 9.
I know that PSA and BGS offer this service after looking at their submission forms but after looking at CGCs it seems like minimum grading isn't an option unless I missed something?
not advised, PSA is very "loose" with grading. a PSA 10 can be off centered 60/40 and still qualify as a 10. this will not be the case for a CGC graded card. a PSA 9 will probably transfer over to CGC at a 7-8.

my Standard 20 day sub has been sitting at received since 11/06/2020. 31 calendar days ....

"One of the soon-to-be-released improvements for the CGC Trading Cards holder will result in an even tighter seal. "
Where does that leave all the people with inferior sealed cases?
-
they need to update turnaround times.
my 20 day sub is at day 18 (working days) tomorrow and still no movement.
-
it seems their volumes are going up, a month ago my subs were being received same day. my most recent sub took about 10 days from it showing delivered to show up in my account.
I expect the turn around times to be closer to stated times in business days now.
-
When should I start to worry when my Sub is not entered into the system yet?
my Tracking shows my sub was delivered on 11/06 and it is not in my account yet.
my first bulk sub (30 day) took 26 calendar days. this standard sub (20 days) is already 10 calendar days in with no info.
the last 2 subs I've done have both been entered into the system the day or the day after tracking shows delivered.
thanks!

I picked up an ICE black lotus last year, unfortunately the corners were clipped. other than the clipped corners everything else is flawless, will CGC even grade this? I know with other services they wont even look at it.
Thanks!

you were right, since my submission was so old the system was trying to charge new subgrade rates and it wasn't matching my submission. so the whole thing just sat in limbo. for over a month. I wonder at what point they would have let me know there was an issue, or if they'd just keep everything forever
