  1. I really love both these books. ASM 3 is my favorite spidey cover between 1-49 (with maybe the exception of 25).
  2. Oh god, the suspense is killing me. Between this, the grading comp and my own submissions at Cgc the suspense is at an all time high.
  3. Sorry I have been away from the office all week and had no computer. Only an iPad so I haven't been able to figure out upload of photos.
  4. Love that cover it has all my favorite elements!! Wanna sell. Nope. Gonna keep this one for quite awhile. And with only 10 on census I think it is going to be quite a while until I find one.
  5. Love that cover it has all my favorite elements!! Wanna sell.
  6. Hey Dice Not sure if this has been asked already but what causes the soiling grey/black marks on the interior of comics, I have had them in many 80-90s marvel stuff and most recently in an ASM 129 they are often very uniform, contain repeating gemoetric paterns or lines, and most prominent on the first two pages . I have also noticed a lot of small perforations on the bottom of interior pages. I will post some pics tonight. Thanks in advance Jake
  7. Not that he wouldn't write a letter. He wouldn't sign anything or do interviews. I did laugh when he created his own signature block, like the signature wasn't clear enough. Steve Ditko Steve Ditko What I was hinting at is that by responding to the letter he has engaged in a class of conduct which is very similar to that which he is saying he would not do.
  8. I like that he wrote you a letter essentially saying he could not write you a letter.
  9. (thumbs u Definitely. On the other hand, some of the "un-bundled"/loose copies I got in this same lot are actually pretty nice (i.e., in the VF range). But the copies still tied up in the bundle--at least at the top and bottom of the stack--are a mess, it's true (not sure about the ones in the middle). Still, I plan to leave the whole damn thing as-is. I think it's cool that it's stayed that way for over 40 years...so why disturb it, y'know...? So cool!! I love finds like this.
  10. Daaaaammmmmnnnn! Nice haul! +1 Just wondering if you sourced most of those books in one lot or over a period of time? Very impressive haul.
  11. Excellent books. Great price and super fast shipping at a discount!!!
  12. I am glad to see this thread is still kicking. Hopefully it will last until the market adjustment and then we can see who was correct.
  13. Favorite hero: batman (though it appears I collect ASM go figure ) Favorite villains: red skull and galactus
  14. This thread and Matt and Kenny's before and after thread. Also the antique/ flea market finds oh and the full restoration thread and don't forget this week back from cgc and the sales thread.... Hang on a minute this entire forum is AWESOME.
  15. ...until the second WD 1 10.0 shows up... 'mint' I was joking. Sarcasm translates poorly on the interwebs.
  16. Haha and now we are at five and counting. But poor fellow, never want to see anyone lose money. The first WD 1 10.0 now that would be a safe investment...
  17. Also what is the story with NM 98? Seems like people are referencing a single infamous sale. If you are tell me about it!! Please. I am avid for gossip.
  18. Why? To flip it of course! Silly Actually, I am sure there are people that are convinced that we have not reached the peak yet. So why wouldn't they buy to flip. I imagine you asked the same thing when it was $1000 ..... Silly. You are missing the point. Someone has to be buying it from the 'flipper.' Therefore, to ask the question again and in another form, is this the perceived 'real estate' of the comic book industry? They just keep buying and selling, because the price will 'NEVER' fall, right? If that doesn't say speculator hype to anyone here, nothing will. BTW, to answer a PM, I am only 35, nowhere near 50! Kind Regards, 'mint' I like MINT.
  19. Or it could be one stupid buyer with an agenda like the one guy did with NM's 98. I think there are more HG copies of Hulk #181 than Spawn #1. God Wolverine is an over rated tool bag character. Plus he is Canadian. what is the story with NM 98?
  20. Yea, first appearance of a major character.. Seriously though, scummers! Holy cow!!! Green means it is on sale, take out a line of credit and buy six!!!
