Freekin' awesome,are you going to try to get the whole set? I bet it would be tough to find em all in high grade. If anything, I will just get the Marvel ones...I am not a DC fan. I am not sure how many were made yet. Time to make a new list! I was shocked at this ones condition...Its realllly nice. At least a NM. And 5 bucks!!! Came with the record too!!! Kinda sweet finding it too....found it flipping thru a long box at a LCS in my area. Its nice to find comics like that! Like the old days! Yeah very cool find,how can you loose for 5 bucks.Time to break out the old record player and get all nostalgic. Yeah 5 bucks is a total win! I have not had a record player in years. Used to have a ton of Heavy Metal vinyl...sold it years back on ebay and made some pretty good money! Record player broke since and I didnt need a new one...

Well I just bought the last issue I needed, G.I. Joe #104 from Marvel. Now I have the whole set from Marvel #1-155 complete! I love finishing long running sets! Yooooooo JOE!

My local Hannaford has a vintage spinner rack like the one posted above. I used to work for a comicbook store. The owner had to cloase down one of his chain of stores a few years (like 15 ) back..I helped in the move... I remember us throwing away some spinner racks, like the one pictured. Wish I would have grabbed one!

I like those frames for the CGC comics you have on the wall. Seeing a spinner rack makes me also want one!

Been awhile since I bought a Bronze Age comic...I never bought any of these Power Record Comics...saw this one and grabbed it...now of course I may have to buy all the Marvel ones... [/img]

This may be hard to believe, but some of us may not know what is special about Love Romances 97. Care to fill us in? ...I dont think many people know about Love Romances at all...hahhahaha. #97 is considered a variant by the variant collectors. (I just learned this the hard way ) It came with a blacked out circle where the price should have been...not all copies came like that, hence why its a variant. So its one of the harder ones to acquire...not that any of them are an easy find....pretty rough set to be putting together in general! (I am just trying for issue #85 up) One (#97) popped up on ebay last week (with the blacked out circle) and I was the second place bidder. But at least a boardie won it!

This book was voted the Best TTA Pre Hero Cover by the Boards last year. I know it's my favorite ! That cover has always been a favorite of mine too! +2 Classic cover + great candidate for sig series!! Kinda looks like a mutant Gumby. Or maybe Gumby was around the Hulk during that gamma blast... You could always start one. I just started an ASM #1 club because I was stunned to learn that there wasn't one of those either... EDIT: I just checked on the Sgt. Fury #1 club and there is one, it just fell to page #5 of the SA room. I'll bump it for you. That's not a club, it's just a thread talking about a high grade up for auction. My mistake. I just didn't want to give him the wrong info and then have someone jump on him because he didn't use the search function. Better safe than sorry sometimes! See, Fury gets no respect either! Maybe even less then Ant-Man!

I don't know if this is so much a lack of interest as it is the fact that I would guess that TTA #27 is the rarest of the SA Marvel keys. It gets plenty of love, but there are just too few out there! I know I don't have one yet, but not for lack of trying! I also still need this key. I think fewer people have it because its Ant Man. People when buying keys would rather spend the money on Super-heros that have had there own solo title for years and feel a bond to that super-hero. Ant-Man has been an Avenger in a back up role...and had the stories in TTA before the Hulk took over the book. I bet if Ant-Man took over that title more people would have TTA #27. I still want and need the TTA #27...but its one of the last mega keys I need...because I always went after the bigger super-heros issues I needed. While talking about no respect from the fan world. I didnt see a SGT. Fury #1 Club...

It does seem that there is an inordinate amount of ow/w X1's but i cant remember ever seeing a white pages one. I really thought my 8.5 had a chance at white but it came back ow/w. I think on a resub, i would have close to a 50/50 shot at getting white. I could never do it though since theres WAY too high a chance it comes back a 8.0 the 2nd time around. No way imo i could ever get a 9.0 so the grade could only stay the same or go down. Not worth the risk for a PQ bump but seeing that list, it sure would be nice to have a 8.5w! My copy has White pages... [/img]
