  1. Man you have and buy some niceee books!!!! That one looks so nice its crazy!!!!
  2. Its a run I created after I bought a book from skypinkblu in March. It consists of Amz. Spideys 28-31 Avengers 19-22 DareDevil 9-10 Fantastic Fours 42-45 Journey Into Mystery 119-122 Tales To Astonish 71 X-Men 13-14 Background: All published between August and December 1965, Noted by the change in logo next to the price when Marvel briefly changed its name to Marvel Pop Art Productions This logo was used on most of their super-hero titles (excluding Strange Tales and Tales of Suspense and any others not on the above list) It is a cool set because in 1965 The Marvel Age was rolling and there is not a bad story in any of these books. The last one I am missing is X-Men 13 (which is an early X-Men and 2nd Juggernaut, plus Human Torch guest stars) You forget SGT. Fury #21 and 22
  3. (thumbs u Nice little set!!! What is the last book you need? Also what are all the books in this run?
  4. Yeah, eBay. It didn't cost nearly as much as this: HOLY Thanks - I just need a #3 to complete my run... (#2 is in the mail...so not pictured yet.) These are all original interiors with covers recreated inside and out by myself. Is the back cover image and the Inside front and back covers there also? Or are they blank?
  5. Wow...every comic you posted i need..(need 36 more for the set) .And i will never have any copies even close to the grades of yours.
  6. Nice,,,Where did you snag that? Ebay? What does a coverless copy run? Your run with the covers recreated Presents NICE!!!!
  7. Very Nice comics!!! Your set is moving right along!!! Keep chipping away!!!
  8. You just bought an AMAZ #1 CGC 1.0 right? If i might ask...what did you drop on that? Or is that hush, hush?
  9. Nice looking copies!!! I could really used upgrades on both those comics.
  10. Yeah, but then you'd have to be really freakin' old like me. And me... (thumbs u Only as old as you feel....And i feel damn old also!!!
  11. I started buying and keeping comics in 1972, and bought all the Marvel Superhero titles, some DCs and undergrounds. I still have my original ASM run from 110-166, and also from 232-269 (stopped buying in '76 and resumed in '81). They're not all NM, unfortunately, but they were read with respect and many are still in top shape. Many are still raw: I've slabbed some (old scanner): Nice #121 and 136!!! I started buying in the 80s. The .60 cent age foward. Wish i could have bought these classics off the stands!!!
  12. Nice Comic!!! I was just about to turn 2 when this came out. Did you pick up a Sweet #129 the month before? Dont tell me you missed that issue...I hate stories like that!!!!
  13. Well said! Spidey is always a good seller and a good buy. Case in point. Board Spidey Sale Nice Pickup on those last 10 Amazing Spidermans in that thread!!! (thumbs u I made an offer on them. I have to stop the lowball Madness!!! Need 46 Issues to complete my run...And I needed all 10 of the ones you bought!
  14. Kinda like you...I also have a matched set. Not 9.8 but nice enough for me!
  15. Greggy wins and.....the music ends. Thank You and Goodnight!!! Everyone be safe going home!!! If anyone gets this one i want detailed explanation HOW!!!
  16. How did you ever get that? I have never even heard of that comic. An Atlas Title no less.
  17. Those numbers are nuts! Thanks for the numbers jeff!!! Makes me love my CGC 8.0 copies of those two comics even more. Those comics you have WB are NO JOKE!!!!! I paid 26 cents in 1986 for my 121 (6.0 - signed by Gil Kane and Roy Thomas) and $25 on eBay for my 9.2 - 9.4 122. While I'd love to have the 9.8s I'm much happier with my copies and an extra $13,000. .26 cents.... What a random price. I have to ask....how do you know what you paid in 1986 for that book. Do you have this info some place?
  18. Those numbers are nuts! Thanks for the numbers jeff!!! Makes me love my CGC 8.0 copies of those two comics even more. Those comics you have WB are NO JOKE!!!!!
  19. I bought them slabbed back in 2006. It was a private sale so it won't be in GPA but I believe the owner that I got them from bought both off Heritage back in the day so those sales may be on GPA. These two particular copies were grails of mine because they were originally a pair. Moondog found these books and had them encapsulated, if I am not mistaken. WOW!!! Bought them graded 9.8 slabbed. You roll DEEP!!!!
  20. Though I suspect our budgets normally look a bit different at full-strength, I hear you. Which Spideys are you picking up? 134, 135, 136, 137, 147, 148, 149, 168, 186, 187, 189, 191 & 197. And as for you Dr. Watson. I do have a nice ungraded 129. One of my goals for 2008 is to get it graded and I'll post it here when I do. It is a nice NM+/NM/M book but it has some distributor overspray - not sure how much that will knock it down. Nipples. WB...did you submit the 121 and 122 yourself and just hit two homeruns or did you buy them already slabbed. I dont have GPA and cant imagine what those figures would be for those two. NICE COMICS!!!
  21. Nice Pickups!!! I saw those Pasty and Hedy comics on ebay. Not a bad price you got them at!!! (thumbs u
