  1. I just think the foil covers look rad. I did buy two copies of the La Mole ASM #101 reprint but that just to sub and try for a 9.8. No other plans to resell these and I just want 1 of the UF4 reprint. All for the PC. I hope you're right about the buzz around foreign editions fading because I do want to collect those Gwen Lives original stories from the Mexican Spider-Man series...
  2. I recently sold a couple Nintendo DS games for $150 per. Absolutely insane. I'm going to visit my parents in a few weeks and I'm going to clear out all of my old Gamecube and N64 games. It looks like I can ever sell all the beanie babies I bought as a kid right now And yes I'm with you it's difficult to find a buyer for this junk otherwise Those jerks over at Key Collector put some heat on the Ultimate Fallout #4 La Mole foil edition earlier today. Every raw copy on Ebay sold today. I was just looking at them yesterday because I've been quietly putting together a set of my favorite la mole foil reprints related to Spider-Man . Already picked up the #101 and Annual #21 reprints but it looks like I'll have to hurry if I want to grab the others I'm looking for now that Key Collector is starting to point people towards these... Note the date. These guys that put out the pro spec list on Key Collector clearly have an audience of BUYERS because a couple of the books they put out catch heat every single week...
  3. Okay, here's where I draw the line buddy An actual job makes you wait two weeks to get paid, or more! I get paid monthly. What these folks need are not-real jobs, like contracting work where you can negotiate daily pay. I think that is also available with Uber and some other not-legally-full-time-employee type stuff. Together we can find solutions for the people
  4. Bronze age Spider-Man centered around this character more than any other and the mystery of his true identity kept fans of the series theorizing for decades. Low grade copy. No tattooz. Cover detached at the top staple. 1st Hobgoblin. $75
  5. Amazing Spider-Man #136. 1st appearance of Harry Osborn as the Green Goblin. Incomplete, missing one of the centerfold pages. Does have the MVS if you're collecting those for some reason $5
  6. Let's start tonight with a little tendency breaker. Men fear him. Ladies fear him too. The Impaler. The Dragon. Old Vlad himself. Tomb of Dracula #1. 1st Dracula. $225
  7. Thought that was a Bears hat. Carry on Do wish to spread that malice to any Bears fans in the audience, however
  8. Are these strictly for your PC or do you ever sell these? Do you know what's the grade where you feel like you get more out of getting the book graded versus leaving it raw? 9.0? Lots of these late newsstand issues have no sold data on Ebay for graded copies. At least from what I've seen looking around at non-key late ASM newsstands. I do have multiple VF/NM copies of a few late newsstand issues (the cosmic Carnage issues) and I figure I'll get them pressed and graded but I'm not sure how to price whichever one grades lower And then where do you draw the line between late newsstands like those and 2010s newsstands like this one?
  9. Take a close look at the facsimile listings that go for $50+ Most of them will have 1st appearance in the title and facsimile buried in the description or NOWHERE IN THE LISTING AT ALL! Some are honestly listed as facsimiles right in the title and still hit $50+ and those puzzle me but some of these sellers are flat out scamming people. This is happening with ALL of the facsimile editions. Here's another one from today Now, you can see by the barcode in the lower right and the $3.99 price in the upper left that this is the facsimile but if you're just getting back into collecting and didn't know these were around this looks like a steal for a low grade copy of 101 right? And a surprisingly nice looking VG! People are doing unscrupulous things with these facsimile editions... I don't feel sorry for buyers that overpay for actual books but these sellers... this is the sort of stuff that drives people out of the hobby... these people are vultures. Some of the facsimile auctions that list them as facsimiles randomly pop, you don't need to pull stunts like this
  10. She's one of the people I signed up for but the wait time is a year for me. So we'll see I wouldn't be surprised if it takes a bit longer. But I think it would be awesome to get her to do one of my FSWW1 blanks. Right now I'm thinking either a Yara bubblegum cover or Yara + Diana walking Jerry or something like that. I wanted someone that has ties to WW and Fradon definitely qualifies. I'd love to see her take on Yara anyway Also got on Frenz's waitlist. I have a Amazing Spider-Man 1 2014 blank and I think I'm going to get a mock of one of his famous covers Glad I have a whole year to start setting nickels aside
  11. Well, I did figure out how to get on the wait list for a few artists and I am very excited to share my pieces with you guys in... 18-24 months if I'm lucky? But got on the lists for two artists I admire quite a bit. One I had listed already and one I didn't have in mind but I am super excited to get off the waitlist for them in a year or so...
  12. I find it's a bit slower to get my money but the fees are similar. Maybe even a bit less because I "took advantage" of Paypal's 1% instant transfer fee fairly regularly and now I don't. I am pretty puzzled by the folks that take issue with spending less of their proceeds because the monies go directly to their bank account instead of Paypal. I would think keeping more of your profits is a... good... thing? Still trying to figure life out though
  13. This is the toughest question to answer in the market right now because, IMO, the increased values are coming from new buyer behaviors that may or may not hold. A lot of collectors, myself included, got back into collecting during the pandemic. I had extra cash and thought it'd be fun and I've always been a collector so once I scratched the itch a tiny bit it only grew and here I am. I'm back in it for the long haul. For others? Once they are able to go to concerts again, spend lots of time with their friends again, go to other events again... how much money will be diverted from the hobby as things open up? And will fans react to subsequent seasons of Invincible like they did with this one, by snapping things up? Maybe. Maybe not. There are a lot of reasons to like Invincible and lots of the rumored stuff upcoming on Amazon Prime like Silk... Amazon as an organization believes very strongly in loss leaders. They're willing to burn 10s of millions of dollars on Invincible, on promoting Invincible, if they believe it will get more people to watch stuff on Prime which makes Prime stickier for their customers which results in hundreds or thousands of dollars in additional sales on Amazon.com per year... I used to work for coporate... this way of thinking has been great for content creators on Prime... they get budgets way bigger than the audiences they were attracting early on justified. I left a few years back so not super sure if that's still the case but I imagine so. Since I can't tell the future, I can only tell you how I would approach it. Hedge your bets. For the stuff and 1st apps that were already touched on in season 1? Sell them raw if they're mid. If you think anything key has a shot at 9.6+ get them pressed, cleaned, and graded IMO. If it's key and not going to grade very high IMO some of your best raws it's worth getting them pressed and cleaned even to sell as a raw book. Use Buy it Nows to ensure you get the price you want on the raws... I only let raw books go to auction if they're hugely in demand, one of the most searched books from a run, and a generally very, very popular run. Most of my Amazing Spider-Man and Batman I still DON'T let go to auction and those are the 2 most popular characters of the last 50 years AFAIK. Slabs I sometimes auction if they're from a popular series and it's a major, heavily searched book. You want to let your slabbed ASM 300 go to auction but your high grade raw ASM 75? Not searched nearly as often even though it's SA and folks might miss it... set a BIN. My 2 cents. And just my worthless opinion so take it or leave it!
