Not exactly comic art, but comic-adjacent: What is the market like for a Frazetta remarked print or pencil sketch?
At the rate the market is going, even an ink illustration of Frank's will remain perpetually out of reach. I'm particularly fond of his big cat drawings. Any advice for his art would be appreciated.

Hello, as you can see I'm pretty new here. Please kindly leave a note if you've dealt with me before.

Earl sold me my first major piece of comic-related art. We had some great conversation along the way, and the transaction itself was flawless. Can't go wrong.

My goal for 2021 is to close a deal on a special piece I saw last month. It would be my first comic-related illustration.

That's very cool. I can imagine seeing this at a con booth, great work on the design layout.

Any manga recommendations for someone who has watched a ton of anime but read very little manga?
Also, any recommendations on where to find manga OA and where to set expectations? There are many Japanese artists and properties I'd love to have examples from, but I've found they're essentially impossible to acquire due to cultural etiquette in the country around art.
Published pages are almost never sold. The pages floating around are from obscure titles and little known artists. Throw in the language barrier and the hunt becomes nearly impossible. Your best bet are "shikishi" boards sold on places like Mandarake or Yahoo Auctions. They're basically convention sketches.
If you're a fan of anime, "genga" (the master drawing for the animation) pop up a lot more more often.

I'd also be interested in thoughts about this. I'd imagine most of the buyers in that range have been collecting a long time and isn't growing much.

There is definitely a wide array, and you'll find a home in the Original Art section, lot of business and coffee talk
Thanks! It's definitely a different ballgame from illustration. Higher ceiling.

Hello all, art collector here. I focus primarily on World of Warcraft paintings but I'm looking into artwork for a few specific modern comic series (Astounding Wolf-Man, Venom).
Mike McKone TD ART drop…who got what they wanted?

I picked up Beta Ray Bill! McKone's colors are fantastically vivid. Can't wait for the piece to arrive.
