I bought this one years ago. It was a cracked out copy with the label included. Let's see who can guess what it was? Book is very solid. Nice color, well attached centerfold.. Both staples are clean.

This one has a small chip out of the top spine. A small color chip off the lower corner front cover. Back cover has an obvious dust shadow on the outside edge. Back cover top corner has a 1 x 2 inch bench/light crease. Back cover could use a cleaning I guess. Has some tanning on the inside cover edges. Book is very tight and solid. Clean staples and well attached centerfold. Scanner does not do it justice. Great color and eye appeal.

Thanks guys for all the comments. Wow, funny you should ask. When I use to go to Wizard Chicago religiously, I kept a list at home of purchases, dates, prices, and dealers. I use to do a con report each year also, but I've lost a lot of the spark for collecting the last few years, for a few reasons. Anyway. the #39 I bought at Wizard Chicago in 2011. Bought off Dale Roberts. He always lets me hang around his booth, and look at books. I could not pass this one up. Perfect no, but like you said the paper quality and condition was pretty darn nice. The other ones I"m just not sure. I've been collecting for over 40 years. It might come to me later and if I remember I'll post it. I have a few more I have to dig out and might post in the grading forum just for kicks. I have some nice Showcase issues too I might throw in.

Has a stress line running parallel to the spine about a 1/4" in starting at the bottom running up about 2" 1/4" tear F.C about the word brave. Staples are a bit loose. Top spine looks weird and has some paper loss but no split in the paper. B.C. has a printers crease starting on the bottom edge and curving upward and over to the word Name in the coupon. Book has real nice color and eye appeal. Staples are clean and centerfold well attached.

Time to dig out some stuff and look at it. This book has a light crease outside corner F.C. About 1/4 x 3/4. Some very light color flecks on the edges and light ding or two. Back cover top edge has a tear that is less than 1/8 right above the 204 in the yellow box. Lower corner F.C. has a bit of a paper bend/roll inward that makes the corner look round. My old scanner don't do this book justice. Great color and eye appeal. Inside pages are really nice and no trace of anything on the staples.

I've looked this book over very carefully. There is no rust on the staples anywhere. When I look at the centerfold, it kind of looks like the staples left some dark marks on the paper but its really the indentation shadow of the staples. No rust though.

I'll let this run until this evening but going out for most of the day. Kick the tires and light the fire. LOL Lots a good books still hanging around. Offers will be taken to the board room.

I always liked talking to Borock in Chicago.

Book has great color. My scanner really washes it out. Top edge F.C. has a light crease/line about the red Brave and Bold banner. Lower right edge F.C. has a vertical crease. Small chip out of the lower corner also. Spine is nice and tight staples. Bottom edge back cover has a light stain just under the rifle stock. Book lays nice and flat.
