  1. Assuming @Bkd Reader still doesn't want a pick I say gimme dat Reborn lot #9 Not ashamed!
  2. I'm sure Bird doesn't really want that pick.
  3. Now I'm sitting here waiting to pounce in case by some chance something wheels all the way to me. I'm not ashamed.
  4. I have these very rough notes of what each prize is, and I've got something else marked "Horror" and mistook it for a minute.
  5. Do you mean, Axelrod's Materialistic Weasel Award? Congrats!
  6. oof. Spent most of Christmas Eve. in the emergency room with the mother. She's okay, but has a broken shoulder (from a fall). I have nevertheless submitted some semblance of a list in case I can't be around tomorrow.
  7. For THIS thread... I was pick 58 last year. 54 this year! Movin' on up!
  8. (correctly posting) Well, as I said, since I'm travelling, I snuck a look at my gifts before I left. No picture I'm afraid, but I want to thank @Loading... so much! Got an awesome CGC 9.4 of Avengers 195, which is cool because it's (1) a Perez cover, and (2) 1st App. of Taskmaster (technically "cameo") and it pairs great with my graded Avengers 196. Also, he got me several X-Men books to continue my run in that series. Thank you again, and Merry Christmas!
  9. Axelrod's Materialistic Weasel Award is available worldwide! Though now that Speedy is offering basically the same thing I might have to change the name or something. I was going to say - when you pick my prize, you also need to say "I am a materialistic weasel" at the same time. Maybe I'll make it $151.00. Hah!
  10. Finally saw this. And my reaction is, it was fine. I enjoyed it. It looked good. The water/aquatic stuff was at least a little different from the first movie. But, this is not a movie that demands to be seen again. Not in the same way the first one did, because the visual impact was so much greater and more novel then. The effects in this movie are mostly of the same variety that people are now very used to. I read how they had to invent new technologies for the underwater scenes, but even if that's true, they didn't stand out like "omg, this is something we have never seen before," regardless of how hard they might have been to actually do. Don't get me wrong, it looked quite good, but not that much different from the 1st one. And the plot was the weakest part for me. Definitely felt a little paint-by-numbers. And just not all that significant? I know they already shot the next one, so maybe this one is just suffering from middle child syndrome. More set up than pay off in many ways. Call it a B? I guess?
  11. So, here's the thing @Loading.... I'm travelling for Christmas. Leaving on 12/23 and returning on 12/28. I can't really pack these presents and take them with me for space efficiency reasons. My choices therefore are (1) leave the packages until after I get back. (2) Open them before I go. I think you see which way I am leaning here....
  12. omg, it does say (Loading...) ! Somehow I didn't realize that was your Board name. I just thought it was a reference to something that I was missing....heh Regardless, thank you again so much!
  13. I have presents! Can't tell which Boardie they come from (please let me know), but thank you so much, Jon!
  14. I now have my ticket to the Wed. 3D IMAX show. I also assume this is going to have strong holds based on reviews and word of mouth. Would be surprised if it "only" ended up with a 3.5 multiplier.
  15. I am not at all embarrassed to admit my guess was H.G Well's birthday. Because of those "hints" that got posted. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I know.
