    I picked this up a long time ago, and it’s interesting that you used the word shame because the LCS that sold it to me never mentioned it or noted it. To be fair, it was sold as a Good (2.0) so it isn’t like they were representing a much nicer book and gouging the hell out of me. Anyway, lesson learned. This book is still one of my favorites; it holds a special place in my heart, both as a teachable moment and as a reminder of why I loved comics growing up.

    Hi all - Presented here is ASM #17 - The 2nd appearance of the Green Goblin. This is a purple label due to the color touch down the length of the spine. Also there appears to be color touches on the bottom right corner in the brown coat. Additionally, there is a moderate spine roll, small edge tears and two, long color breaking creases on the back cover. Cover and centerfold are secure and book is complete. A nice presenting book with some unfortunate modifications... I am considering just a C&P and leaving it raw. So my question: What is the grade as is? And a follow up: Does a color touch (amateur) affect the grade or is the book simply graded on its condition and a purple restored label is slapped on it? Thanks!

    It sounded good when I wrote it and was totally not meant as a gotcha. Ultimately, what I meant to say is that this book would grade much higher if the spine was still intact. Apologize for the missing qualifier...
