  1. You’re right on that it’s a new grade for halfway in between mint and gem mint. This already happened for CSG a while ago. The 9.5 mint+ don’t carry too much of a premium since people mostly will pay more for the gem. Might be worth resubbing some heavy hitters, otherwise I wouldn’t bother. But this means moving forward they aren’t grading any easier, just essentially more accurate for that category
  2. Lol at “grading standards have changed” It’s literally only the scale, gem mint is still gem mint, how is this hard to understand?
  3. Yup and much less scuffing too than in the older days. For the packaging material and dust I always just use a can of compressed air
  4. I've used Plast-X on CSG/CGC slabs with success. However I always use a brand new microfiber cloth each cleaning session. I've found re used ones sometimes cause more scratches (which I then buffed out with a new one lol). Also firstly of course use something like compressed air can to remove all debree and dust.
  5. Could be a mistake, def contact customer service. All reholders do get new certs though
  6. I know you asked about a box but just figured I’d let all know that these pages fit slabs perfectly. Actually I use graded card team bags first and then they fit super snug and further protects slabs. Throw them in a large zipper binder and good to go https://www.amazon.com/Ultra-Pro-4-Pocket-Platinum-Pockets/dp/B0009RNQN2/ref=asc_df_B0009RNQN2/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=167151447010&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=10335113250977179840&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9005495&hvtargid=pla-275056597808&psc=1
  7. LOVE IT I have been saving a few of these for this. I remember being bummed getting packs of these when I was a kid. But pulling a holo zard shortly after I was somewhat satisfied. Even the non holo cards have cool artworks and will look good in the slabs
  8. I'm just curious how you know the exact technology that each company has? While it may be news that PSA is just getting this technology now, how do you know that CGC/CSG haven't already been using it? Certified Collectibles Group is a $500,000,000 valued company and you are assuming things about what tech they use. Do you have any proof of cards they graded that are trimmed? If not then your assumption is only that.
  9. I get where you’re coming from but cgc grading before this is still cgc grading the same after, regardless of who pwcc is. It’s a separate entity/event. You guys can complicate it all you want with this and that conspiracy talk, but it’s pretty simple.
  10. I don’t think you understand what’s going on. CGC still grades the cards in this setup. With the same grading process. Why would you ever think they would all of the sudden start grading things they wouldn’t grade before?
  11. I don't understand though, how would this negatively affect any comparison to other grading companies if they are also sold through PWCC? (PSA and BGS)
  12. My last 50 card order of bulk I got more than than half 9.5s (green) including 6 pristine 10s. All modern
  13. Reasons why your argument is null and void and ridiculous: - you’re commenting on overall market fluctuations. That has nothing to do with grading companies. that’s on you for sending it in after the decline, csg wait time on bulk has been like 3 weeks 🤡 - if you claim that csg graded one grade lower than should be, what do the dozens of people who have that’s same Jordan card in csg 9.5s and 10s, ACTUALLY have? 10.5s and 11s? No obviously your card is just inferior and you can’t accept it. -people agree with you because they like easy psa 10s. Csg is strict grading agreed, and that’s because many believe it is a long term play in terms of value.
  14. So I'm the clown but you're the one sending in $1 cards to get graded and "flip" for profit. And then coming onto the message boards and whining that your Near Mint card did not get a Gem Mint grade. Did you even check the pop report for this card? There are 126 graded and 93 scored higher than yours. By the SAME company that you are saying is unfairly grading your cards too harshly. Do you see the flaw in your thinking yet bud? (let me guess now you're going to say CSG has a personal vendetta against you) Either way thanks for the afternoon humor.
  15. Pretty sure if it's outside available slab dimensions it comes as SA (service unavailable). Got a thick Joe Burrow RPA returned as that
  16. LOL this same ($1-3 raw) base card isn't worth anything in PSA 8 either. Because it's a cheap base card.
  17. Not sure if trolling or not, but this is comedy gold lmao thank you
  18. No, with mine and yours this somehow occurred between the time it was graded and the time we received them back. You can tell because your cert image scan does not have the mark, nor did mine in the image scans. If you would have submitted back as mechanical error they would have fixed it, not sure what that service rep was talking about maybe they didn't understand Edit: here is the other topic of this occurrence:
  19. Wouldn't it show up on the certification image then? https://www.cgccards.com/certlookup/4033892002/ Either way I had a similar thing happen with 8 in a bulk batch. 6/8 were resolved by reholdering which was great. The remaining 2 cards were sent back reholdered still slightly marked (wouldn't that be qualified for a value reimbursement rather than putting something back into the population that doesn't match grade and cert images?). Thankfully were lower value ones so I didn't care any further at that point.
  20. Yep and silvering on the edges of Jungle, etc.. my buddy sent in 100 vintage cards and landed 1 of the 2 Scyther Jungle 1st edition holo 9.5s. That and the non holo Scyther were the only 2 9.5s out of the 100
  21. Personally I think it is as more of a need for the sports market. Cgc has set their own standard which many people now prefer over PSA. Plus that scale cheapens Pristine 10s into the lower gem 10 category
  22. Got some waiting for this. I’ve asked on their IG before and they said maybe in the future
  23. Hopefully they won’t IMO it seems like more of a need in the sports market? Many people like CGCs scale and they have a lot more pristine 10s out there especially with the Japanese cards. New scale kills pristine 10
  24. Fair points when thinking about the big picture. What about CGC though do you think they will eventually move to the new scale also? There are way more cards already graded with them so it’s a bit different
  25. 100% agree with your last statement. I literally just got my recent sub shipped back too, wish they would have given a heads up on this (although if I would have held off then my pristines from that order would have only been gems haha so I guess I’m happy) I feel good to have some pristine 10s though too, def not sending those in as they are clearly superior to any future gem mint 10s of same card. And as time goes on they will be even more rare unless someone happens to land a perfect 10 of said card. Top pop secured really hope they still keep that category in the pop report and don’t lump them into gem
