#30 Variant comics are not my thing! Having said that, I think Bronze Age price variants are pretty cool. This is the only 9.8!

#28 I am not a huge fan of Syd Shores, but this is my favorite of his covers. I like that it has a Stan Lee story!

#27 This is a weird one for me. I love the early Spectre covers, except for this one. I'm glad it's labeled a "Classic Cover", but I find most of the other ones from this era better.

#26 No collection can be complete without a classic "Underground" comic. I am not a fan of Crumb, so I went with a rare comic with a cool 1st appearance. Welcome in Cherry Poptart!

#24 This is the highest graded copy! I sure hope the Promise Collection doesn't have a better one

#22 I wanted to have Horror comic with a "Classic Cover" in my collection. I quickly learned that buying one in high grade with nice pages would be met with endless opposition. I must have placed bids on 30 or more books with no luck in winning one. This one is lower grade than I wanted, but it is among my favorite covers of the era.

#21 When butchering my collection to pay for Daredevil #1, I had to part with the better of my two Golden Age Batman comics. When I see this comic, it only make me think about the one that got away.

#19 This was the 1st Mile High comic I ever owned. I really wanted a main-stream superhero title, but I begrudgingly settled for this one. Since then, it has grown on me and now is one of my favorite comics that I own.

#18 Awesome Matt Baker cover and the Mile High copy! I would have paid double for this in an auction, but I am glad I didn't have much competition that day.

#15 My collection felt incomplete without a Schomburg Captain America cover. This relatively new purchase corrected that.

#13 Marvel Premiere #15 was the 1st comic I ever owned! On a day I was too sick to ride my bike to 7-11 for Slurpees, my brother and friends went without me. Knowing that I was feeling bad for getting left out, my brother purchased a comic and gave it to me.

#10A and #10B On a cold December night in 1973, my mom asked me to fetch my favorite comic for her. I sifted through my brother's collection and picked out the one with the best cover; Marvel's Greatest Comics #42. She tore the cover off right in front of me and handed the remainder. No big deal....I went back to playing with football cards. Christmas morning came and the reason for the dastardly act of comic destruction was revealed... Throughout the years, this cover has remained one of my all time favorites. I couldn't find a super-high grade copy of Marvel's Greatest Comics, so I had to settle for this version.

#9 When building my collection, I wanted to include comics that represent all eras and genres. The search to find a great "Good Girl" comic ended with this purchase.

#8 It is important to me to own an Archie Comics issue. I attempted to buy a Promise Collection "main title" Issue with a sexy girl on it, but failed miserably. They all sold for a lot of money. Although it is from a secondary Archie title, I was excited to get this one.

#7 For a while, I collected multiple copies of Conan #1. This was the best of them...and is the last of them.
