This is getting maddening. People are getting their bulk orders back before I get my economy back with the same received dates. I've been in grading/encapsulation/imaging for over a month and a half now.

"Thank you for your email. Your submissions are currently being encapsulated and will move on to quality control/finalization next.
We know that turnaround times are important to our customers, and we are working hard to complete submissions as quickly as possible while still maintaining our high-quality standards.

    Best Regards,

Anyone know what the difference is between Grading/Encapsulation/Imaging and Grading/Quality Control ??. Does the latter mean they're done and just checking their work?? O_O. The status labels are confusing now

That's correct, they are done and checking their work. From what I've seen QC usually takes less than a week, even for bulk.

My 2/12 bulk still hasn't moved from Grading/Encap. Pretty sure they're punishing me for making so much noise in the forums at this point

They finally got back to me through email and replied with "Your submission is in encapsulation phase."

    Gee thanks..

Who else is getting the shaft lately? Not only did my cards get sent in over 6 months ago, extended grading periods 3x, and been sitting in grading/capsulation/finalizing for over 2 weeks! I am getting absolutely no customer service emails and haven't for 3 messages all about 1 to 2 months apart. This is not right and I will be grading at sgc only. They had my cards back in 9 business days for a 25-30 business day approximately Not once but twice!!! I'm over cgc what happened I paid $250 and did two submissions I got one back but still waiting for the second. My subscription is over in a couple months has well and seriously not even two submissions done. Screw that.

Your delivery is a bit rough, but I completely agree here.

I've sent multiple messages (I work during their hours of operation for phone service) and haven't even gotten a confirmation that they received my request for help.

My 2/12 cards are still in grading/encap while there are orders from 2/17 already delivered to the owners.

0 replies, 0 care for their customers. They didn't slow down submissions, just raised prices. A mad grab for money.

Gave them a fair shot, holding everything I get from now on until PSA reopens.

I had two bulk with subgrades orders received 2/15.

One of the orders has now shipped back to me. It sat in Grading/Encapsulation/Imaging for at least a month and then Grading/Quality Control for about a week

    Second order still in Grading/Encapsulation/Imaging

This is completely bs lol, I'm happy you got your cards and all, but I have 2/12 still in grading/encap

Should grading/encapsulation/imaging take over a month? My 46 card order has been on this step for over a month. Received 2/12

No, it shouldn't. We're getting the shaft end of the stick it seems. As you can see above there are 2/15 already shipped back.

My 2/11 Bulk w/subs moved to Grading/Quality control today. Already received my no-sub portion of the submission 3 weeks ago.

Just to clarify, you're saying your bulk submission (the chunk without subgrades) with a received of 2/11 was sent back to you 3 weeks ago?
May I ask how many cards were in that chunk (without subgrades)? Seems like submission size is playing a huge role here.

So am I seeing this right? People who marked the packages with ST are being opened, processed & graded before the people who sent their standard sub in before being told to mark with ST? So we're paying for standard but getting economy service.

That was happening earlier in the year, but no this is not what you're seeing here.

The "Received" status of submissions has been totally changed to "Scheduled for Grading"
Cards will say "Scheduled for Grading" as soon as they are delivered and processed at CGC.

There seems to be some crosstalk with these 2 phenomena.

    Dearest Diary,

Today is day 18 of Grading/Encapsulation/Imaging.  Last night, I dreamt that my sweet cards' grades had been posted online for viewing.  Alas, what a pleasant dream that was.  And yet, here I am, awake once more and gazing upon those stark three words which once held such promise.  Grading, encapsulation, imaging.  The winds whisper of 2/10 submissions being returned, and there are even rumors swirling of a 2/15 bulk making safe passage.  My 2/12 can't be much further off.  My spirit hurts, Diary, but I am strong.  I will remain here until I have better news.

2/12 bulk here as well, day 18 of grading/encap as well
see you on the other side!

With regards to the "glitch" I was actually just not informed of some internal changes that were made, I apologize. The statuses were actually recently updated. Now, when a submission is received and verified, it is put into "Scheduled for Grading", which makes more sense than it used to, honestly. So now this status will be the longest one for Bulk and Economy submissions rather than the old one which was simply "Received". When it's in grading, it will go to Grading/Encapsulation/Imaging.

    Paul

This is a fancy way of saying CGC didn't inform their head of Public Relations about a huge update that would effect quite a few of the beforementioned Public.

I've seen people with submissions as late as 2/5 getting their bulk/eco returned as of last week, so I'm hoping that means we're next (received 2/12 for me).

Mine also went from Received to Scheduled for Grading, and then Grading/Encapsulation/Imaging about 10 days ago.  So I'm hoping at least the Scheduled for Grading was accurate

Also on 2/12 bulk, some sub some not, grading/encap/imaging for about 10/12 days

  11. 2 hours ago, MattyIcee said:

Just to be clear... Is there anyone that has a sub that IS NOT showing "scheduled for grading"? I feel like this should've been fixed the day they announced this was an issue.. What a mess.

Everything on my end was already scheduled for grading, it moved to grading/encap/imaging.
Everything just moved on to the next phase.

These are private forums - your "freedom of speech" does not apply here.  Just an FYI

Ok, first of all why is "freedom of speech" in quotes? I never used those words.
Secondly, it actually fully does apply here.
Nothing about a private institution disregards the constitution but thanks for playing I guess?
They can 100% still delete anything I say, but your reasoning behind it is completely idiotic.

I feel you, I'm in the same boat. Getting a pretty big financial shaft from this at the moment. Couldn't get my stuff back, been renting tables months in advance then not having the stuff back to sell. I wouldn't rail on Paul too much though. Based off his job description on his profile I don't think the issues stem from what he does. Think he just has an interest/knowledge in this collectible area so he ends up posting in this section a lot.

There is not a single aspect of the backup that is Paul's fault, but he has chosen as his career to put himself between the lies of CGC and their paying customers.
I have to deal with Paul's empty answers here and on Facebook (can't even complain in private Pokémon groups, he found me there), so I will complain about Paul as well.
On top of the insane amount of nonsense happening in house, posts like these (pictured) are becoming more and more prevalent in the private Pokemon communities.

(broken slabs, scuffed/dents from trash packing material *that Paul claimed was tested to be better, hair/fuzz inside slabs)

I fully understand that with the increase in subs there will be an increase is accidents/qc, but the ratio is skewed with CGC.

Quality has gone down the toilet while prices have shot through the roof. Run while you can.

Ikr? It has been two days since this "glitch" started and not fixed yet? Population report also has been worked on for months now?

CGC needs to hire better IT people and web developers. It's 2021, stuff like this shouldn't take months to fix or implement...

They are working on it, hopefully it will be resolved soon.

@Paul S How many generic corporate pot shots will you throw at us before we get some answers?

Our posts get deleted for speaking some spicy truth, but we get 0 information from you, from customer service reps, from anyone.

We can't have our cards back, you have no idea where they are, no refunds, no returns. Just a big bucket of NO.

People paid you thousands of dollars, you have had our property going on 3-5x longer than originally stated.

I'm a contractor by trade, and if I were to pull something like this, clients would sue me into the dirt.

I have a 2/16 received submission patiently waiting as well! Sucks to hear all these standard and economy boxes received after are being opened...

We're all in the same boat! Just make sure to stay on top of it once its in grading/quality control

2/12 here, sitting on the fence today and seeing if I get pushed forward or left in the dust

  15. 2 hours ago, Yeahiwasder4dat said:

No one cares that you sent multiple subs in one box, people do that all the time. It's that stuff like standard gets prioritized simply because it's in the same box even though it has absolutely nothing to do with the express order.

It's that your standard can be delivered a month later, and back to you before other standard subs are even opened that have been there since the end of March. It gets put in the back of the existing grading queue for that day simply because it was mailed in the same box as another order, instead of taking it's place in line behind all the other existing boxes. It essentially pushes all of ours back when they spend time doing other orders that came in after.

None of the outrage is directed towards you specifically so much as the wildly_fanciful_statement of how this goes on and on when they're two months behind on opening. It shafts everyone that's been waiting in line.

Edit: I'm sure only a small percentage of submitters probably even come on the forums, so this probably happens on a pretty large scale that isn't really easy to judge based off just forum post.

    ^This, this... this.

  16. We're told weekends are being worked, if that is true I am past my increased 120 day TAT for Econ.
If weekends are not being counted, then I'm still 2x the time on the original TAT for Econ at the date they were received.
There is no rhyme or reason here, it's obvious some lower tier orders are being pushed before others solely because they were sent in with high tier with 0 explanation.

  17. 15 hours ago, sellerservicescorp said:

For at least a month possibly longer Bulk and Econ were only a 2 day difference in listed turnaround time on CGC submissions page, knowing that, there could definitely be situations where a bulk order finishes before a economy order that was submitted around the same time frame.

Fair point, but those listed TATs were what ~45 days iirc?
If they were returned in that originally quoted TAT, this would be moot..

So basically just pay economy or standard for your cards throw an express in there, and get your standard and economy cards graded at express . That's some bull mess. A real slap in the face to everyone legitimately paying express prices for all their submissions and for those waiting forever to get there st/eco cards graded. I wanted to give CGC a chance, but no way am I ever grading with them after hearing this.

    I couldn't agree more.
I have 63 items total so not in a huge panic, but it feels like a slap in the face while they are raking it in, and they are most definitely raking it in.
PSA cut out all low tiers to ensure back logs could be handled unless a customer was willing to pay an absolute premium (which keeps the chaff clogging this whole system away).
BGS has stopped accepting submissions entirely until they can get through their backlog.
    CGC?
    "You'll get your mess eventually."
