  1. I hadn't seen this before. Was this inserted into all the copies of Amazing Spider-Man 351?
  2. I appreciate that line of thinking. Sellers who follow the rules, even though the "risk of being caught" by USPS is slim, are likely honest with other facets of their business. “Integrity is doing the right thing, even when no one is watching.” - C. S. Lewis
  3. ...however, someone wrote on this cover with a marker. I'm curious about the grade this book (if sent in to CGC) will receive. Ballpark estimates would be greatly appreciated. I can post more pics if that will help. None of the other flaws are this bad, though.
  4. I'm also waiting for a Value tier submission marked as "received" that same week...
  5. I'm new to selling comics and have half a dozen short boxes to start listing. For some books, I'll be selling individually. For cheaper items, I'll be making small lots. Either way, I've gotten a bundle of Gemini II mailers. Once I have the book(s) in the mailer, especially less expensive books, what's the best way to ship? Simply put a label on the Gemini mailer? Put the mailer in an envelope? Put the mailer in a box? For books or lots >$25, I plan to use Flat Rate (legal sized) Envelopes. Seal the Gemini, slip it into the envelope...easy. What about the cheaper books/lots? Most people won't want to pay $9 shipping on items of that value... Two quick caveats: I won't use Media Mail I'm at the Post Office nearly every day (for other sales) already, so USPS is strongly preferred
  6. What happens if CGC has the order for so long, I'm not charged until the following year? My membership expires in February. I hope the order sent back in the spring is done by then; however, turnaround times have quite lengthy as of late. Just want to make sure I wouldn't lose the $150 credit.
  7. I do try to conduct myself in a polite manner. I'm getting older now (almost 50) and would like to think I've gained a little class along the way. The younger me approached everything like Happy Gilmore. It usually didn't work out too well.
  8. When I spoke with CGC accounting on June 10th, they informed me I would receive a consolidated invoice.
  9. Additionally, I have emailed submissions@cgccomics.com several times, going back to June. Aside from the computer-generated auto reply, I have gotten no response. In many ways, that's worse than the TAT issue. My phone calls have yielded similar results. I've been trying to get a consolidated invoice for nearly 90 days. Sorry to complain on the forum. However, CGC has been completely unresponsive through other channels.
  10. So, mid-December now instead of early August? Helpful info, even if it's highly disappointing.
  11. A few months ago, I calculated the estimated turnaround for my submission. Through that calculation, using TAT info published on the CGC website, I arrived at an estimate of Friday, August 6th. Since then, I have noticed increasingly longer turnaround times being mentioned for the now-discontinued Value tier. I understand things have been busy lately; however, do have the following question: Were the turnaround times posted when CGC received my package irrelevant? TAT for "a submission delivered to our facility today" don't seem applicable - in late August - to an order delivered to your facility on April 14th. The submission # is 3848339. Any ballpark estimate you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, in advance. Have a wonderful day.
  12. The buyer removed the book from its holder. They could have sent the book - still encapsulated - to CGC for review.
  13. CGC evaluated and encapsulated the book. When seller listed the book, it was still encapsulated. When buyer received the book, it was still encapsulated. Buyer chose to remove the book, so it was no longer encapsulated. In my opinion, neither seller nor CGC should be held responsible for anything beyond this point.
  14. Agreed. They should have a division for books on which the ink hasn't yet dried. The mountain of new releases *might* outweigh everything else put together.
  15. Thanks for looking. This book is no longer available.
  16. This makes quite a bit of sense. The corners of the cover didn't hold up well to being shipped. On an unrelated note, I've actually begun to become more attached to this book now. It's got character and a bit of story to tell.
  17. Reason for rejection was "Overhang." It was my first time having comics graded. I'll keep this in mind for future submissions.
  18. Appears to have been fixed. It's working for my submissions now.
  19. I was just presented with the same message when looking for my submissions. Not to downplay your concerns; however, I'm oddly glad it's not just me experiencing this issue.
  20. Thank you. It was my first sub, so it looks like I picked decent books to send. I'll definitely update the thread when the books arrive.
