  1. Yeah, i think i remember seeing that. That was a december issue i believe. Print run a little over 5000.
  2. And what i quoted was the highest an auction for just the variant has sold for. This is still the highest they have sold for http://www.ebay.com/itm/140912000723?ssPageName=STRK:MESOX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1559.l2649
  3. http://www.ebay.com/itm/MIND-MGMT-1-VARIANT-1st-Print-by-Matt-Kindt-soon-to-be-movie-by-RIDLEY-SCOTT-/190792259814?pt=US_Comic_Books&hash=item2c6c1ad8e6 The Mind MGMT variant is starting to get some love.
  4. Just sold a #1 9.8 for $600. Happy with the sale. Still have a ton of raws, but i've also sold a good stack as well.
  5. Thanks! I did some digging here The HC came out in September 2009, so i assumed that Mind mgmt wouldn't have been in his head at that point.. I haven't looked at it, but the one-shot says on the cover the Mind MGMT thing so i assumed it was exclusive content. I would be very surprised if it's in the HC since it was over 3 years ago.
  6. I don't really. I purposely don't give them my business for anything i'm picking up to read. There's sometimes a window to get a copy or two of something that's heating up, but that's all i will do with them. Not doing it really only hurts me since they would probably sell to someone else anything i would buy anyway. Not to be a , but why do you go back?
  7. It's a solid book with a small print run. I actually just read the first three today. Love it. Oh, and i posted this in the Mind Mgmt thread, but here's something you guys should be on the lookout for. This print run has GOT to be tiny and it's the 1st app. of Mind Mgmt. When Ebay peeps catch on this one could be huge. https://www.mycomicshop.com/search?TID=22748947 (MCS listing, but they don't have any) Oh, and i went on comichron but couldn't find the print run. The only print run i could find was for the HC of the 3 stories of the Giant man. (which is not this issue and does not have the mind mgmt story) Maybe someone with more patience can find it? Maybe it's not on there. I looked for a while and got frustrated.
  8. Don't everyone lose their mind at once, but Mind Mgmt has a VERY low printed 1st appearance that predated the 1st issue. https://www.mycomicshop.com/search?TID=22748947 I can't find a print run on comichron, but the main story was reprints of a few dark horse presents stories, so i'm thinking it had to be freaking tiny. Scour your local shop time begins............now!
  9. Lockford88 is Kevin Smith!!!! (outed) I love your movies. Me and the girlfriend watched "Chasing Amy" just last night actually.
  10. There's a store near me who has some of the most slimy business practices i can think of. The owner is a nice guy, but he's unbelievable when it comes to certain things. On a bunch of books he has it in his system to charge cover for the first copy, and the second copy gets rang up at $8. The employee's DO NOT tell you this and it's not marked ANYWHERE. I got home one day and realized that i had paid $16 above cover price for the books i bought. I went back in and they told me about this super slimeball policy. Then to top it off, they wouldn't give me a refund since i used a card, and issued me a gift certificate. Beyond that, they price their variants through the roof, charge a quarter if you use a debit card, and the kicker, they charge for leftover FCBD issues. They even charged 50 cents a book for the new FREE cyberforce issues same day they came out. Keep in mind that they don't say a word as they are merrily adding charges to your order. There's also been several times when i used to frequent the store on a regular basis that i would get charged a few dollars extra here and there, and they would have no explanation for it whatsoever when i went back in to complain. I would not be surprised one bit if this is a regular practice that the owner encourages. They also have signs up saying that they reserve the right to change a price at the counter due to the "Volatile" price of back issues. There's more, and i could seriously go on for a while about how slimy this shop is, but i realize this isn't really the thread for it so i will abstain.
  11. The ultimate is when a retailer does a google search and quotes you the highest ASKING price they find on the internet regardless of condition. I was quoted $700 recently for a raw Detective #1 rrp that was maybe a 7.0 at best. It took him almost 5 minutes to come up with that too. I couldn't not laugh. I just said, "wow. That's an expensive book." I thought, "wow, what is this mystical machine that he's using? Maybe one day i could learn to control this magical portal to crazytown and i won't have to ask what he wants for books".
  12. It was that Batman Heroes ashcan silver variant. Only a few have ever came up for sale. I think a prior one went for $500 on ebay and sold within a very short amount of time. I can't remember the boardie that got it at the moment. He never said anything after i shipped it to him. I posted about it after it sold so quickly at $50 and was informed by some guys on the boards of it's prior sales. I could have easily backed out. But again = slimy. I know how i would feel in his shoes, so i shipped it. (even though i will admit that i stared at it for a good 5 minutes before putting it in the package. I don't cry (i'm a man) but i felt sad feelings when it went in)
  13. Out them! I recently sold a boardie a book for $50 that i found out after the sale i could have gotten at least $500-$600 for. I shipped it knowing full well what kind of money i was leaving on the table. It's the right thing to do. I could have certainly used the extra $, but backing out because you can get more is slimy.
  14. whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaattttttttttttttttttttttttttttt????????? http://www.ebay.com/itm/IMAGE-COMICS-SPAWN-200-225-Complete-Set-Unread-MINT-spawn-Lot-/261157996510?pt=US_Comic_Books&hash=item3cce3ac7de
  15. E.S. , Any idea on the print run? An estimate is fine...Thanks in advance....
  16. How many of these yearbooks were printed?
  17. I've loved this book since issue #1. I was a little let down by it. I don't want to spoil, but I was just expecting more from it....
  18. R.I.P.D. is pretty solid too. One sale at $100 and one at $70 for 1-4. The $100 was VF/NM too. Very few available online. Finding high grade RIPD will probably be difficult due to the fact that i'm sure most of them have been in discount boxes for the last 10+ years. Anyone have any idea what the print run on those were? I believe there's a site, but can't remember what it is at the moment....Sixth Gun and RIPD are going to hit ridiculous money with what i'm assuming are tiny print runs.
  19. Have you had your cat tested for "evil'? Most of them have it. This was not an accident.
  20. I have a double cover for that #47. It's cherished, but i might be selling it soon.
  21. I think this one will end up being a pretty big book at one point. Nova has been slowly creeping into Marvel mainstream for a while now. I for one am very much looking forward to the new series.
  22. I love giving good deals. Anyone who likes getting them should check out my CCL store.
