  1. You've got some killer Larsons Ricky, and even though this isn't in as high of a grade as most of the others, it stands out as a favorite of mine!
  2. Where I can, I'll try to post a La Prensa copy so as to not be as readily apparent to those who peek!
  3. I'll take a break and give others a chance.
  4. Nice first post @bc!!! This is gonna be fun!!!
  5. These All-American issues are very cool, and I seldom see them posted!!! That #4 in particular is nearly impossible to find. I saw a low grade, missing back cover copy in town once and I was tempted to buy it, but I didn't know how rare it actually was, so I let it slip away. SOMEONE bought it though, as the next time I saw that dealer, it was gone.
  6. I think it's probably a fairly unpopular opinion to crack out your certified Golden Age and I have cracked out a fair number of comics. Here are two that I took after pics of. I have others that I still need to take a cracked out pic of.
  7. Wow, this thread was 35 pages back!!!!!!! I picked up another Larson a while back and was looking at it today. I don't think I posted it here, so here it is! It's an oddity in that it's one of what Jon Berk dubbed the "Lost Larsons." After his article was printed in the CBM, a local newspaper in Nebraska printed some portion of the article and it prompted a childhood friend of Lamonts to go dig thru his old comics and wouldn't you know he found 6 comics with Lamont or Larson written on them!!! He contacted Jon, who made an offer and bought the books! This one must've been in much lesser condition as Jon had some restoration done on it and it's considered Extensive B-5. No matter for me really, as I love Larsons and the chance to add one to my collection (inexpensively no less), is always a welcome opportunity! Here's it certified and then on the loose!
  8. This book (and the next one) might wobble a bit on the criteria of $500 for a 5.0, but each of them cost me well north of that figure, so it's either see them or don't and I figure folks would rather see them. If I'm wrong, look away ... just look away ... 5 total graded copies.
  9. I haven't seen him on here in quite a while. Maybe he and comcav are sailing around the world or something.
  10. AWESOME, nearly impossible book to find!!! Beyond a 9.8 (HAS to be the Church) the next highest grade is a Universal 5.0!!! Also, only 5 Universal graded, so you could post this in the new 10 and under census comics that are worth $500 or more thread!
  11. I gotta say that this is just a fun cover for me to look at!!! I don't think I've ever seen one in person, and I really like the innocent nature that Flessel captures here!
