Was the Action #15 in there as well? The story I'd heard about these covers (all Guardineer btw) was that the reason they were saved was because Guardineer himself saved them, as he was given them in place of payment owed to him by National at the time. I can't confirm the source of that information, but it IS what I heard.

Yeah, I like the connection to comic books and I'm going to attempt to keep it to only comic related pinbacks and fan club materials.

WOW, what an awesome story!!! My love for the pin extends back to when I had a copy of New Fun #3 and saw the mascots inside! I've only looked "very casually" for the pins, usually only when I remember to do so. I could see this leading to another rabbit hole for me to go down and I already have so many now!!! I'm going to proceed slowly, with the Fun Club pin being my biggest want. I DO think that Fu Manchu pin you posted is pretty cool too though!

You are most welcome! We've never met, but I've known Jerome for over 30 years, and he's always spoken so well of you. It sounded like you were able to help him fill in some issues he needed by selling him your under copies. I'm not sure to what level he ever thanked you, but I CAN say that I could hear gratitude in his voice when he mentioned your dealings with one another. I can also say that I got to enjoy a few of the books he got from you, most notably the copy of Detective #27 that came from you! It was one of the few opportunities I had to examine a raw copy at my leisure and that's always a pretty good day when that happens! As you probably know, he sold his collection as well and from what he discussed with me, was left with similar feelings as you spoke of. I'd also like to mention that I've enjoyed the few pics I've seen of your collection! To see the first 10 Actions and Detectives lined up in a row is just an amazing sight!!! Plus, of course, all of the other comics you had surrounding them! I'm sure it's a bittersweet thing to look at those pictures, but I for one can tell you that I'd love to see any other comic pics you'd care to share, whenever you'd care to share them!!! Thanks again for sharing all that you have!!! -
I'm not sure if this has been posted here or not and I want to be clear on this: THIS ISN'T MINE, I don't own it, but I found this pic while going through a folder and thought it should be posted here for all to enjoy! An original Guardineer cover saved from way back then! I can't even afford a copy of the comic, let ALONE how much this artwork would cost!!!

You don't consider THIS cheating, do you? Sorry about the dim lighting, but I just snapped these quick.

WOW!!!! Thank you so much for posting this!!! This is the cleanest example I've seen of this pinback!!! If by any chance you see or acquire another one and can point me in the direction of one, I'd really appreciate it!!! I used to have a New Fun #3 and really liked the New Fun mascots, so these pinbacks and any other related "Fun Club" materials are of big interest to me!!! Thanks again!!!

I've been looking for a particular pinback and have had zero luck in finding one. I'm wondering, do you have one of these in your collection? I can't remember if this was Jon Berk's pic or yours.

Dang it!!! It isn't. At first, I was excited, thinking maybe you saw one on there, but when I went to check, no real issue #2. -
