  1. VERY nice copy Steve!!! I used to own the Larson, which is a 6.5 & just sold in Jon's auction. I sold it to Jamie Graham years ago, who said he was gonna pitch it to Jon. Looks like Jon grabbed it. Does your copy have the famous "Reilly stamp" on the back cover?
  2. Thanks! It's been suggested by a knowledgeable pedigree collector that this might be a Big Apple book. It IS around the same time that the "cursive J-like" mark disappeared from the covers.
  3. And just because it's been a while since I've posted this one ....
  4. Thanks Gino!! This thread has expanded my wantlist
  5. SOME Nedors, like this one, should prove to be worth grabbing while they're still VERY affordable.
  6. I think some of the Nedors with Hitler covers still have TONS of room to grow .... like THIS one
  7. Thank you Billbo!! I knew I could count on you to love this G.A. artwork!!! Miss ya bro
  8. Thanks pal The G.A. art doesn't much love compared to S.A or B.A. but it's so rare ....
  9. A solid 1.0 This is the only copy I could find & I REALLY wanted a copy, as I have interior art pages of the Captain Freedom story (can be seen in the original art thread here under Golden Age).
  10. That's awesome! I've already used up my "likes" for the day, but consider it "liked"
  11. Inspired by recent threads, I think it'd be wicked cool to see those covers & interior pages with disembodied heads. Grisly, I know .... but this is the only time in comics that this was possible & it needs to be celebrated
  12. Tentacle bondage? I think it counts .... plus underwater booty .... who doesn't like THAT???
  13. I gonna assume that her hands are tied ....
  14. I LIKE this thread. Most of my books that apply aren't scanned though However, I do have a few available ....
  15. Nice to meet you too White paged Timelys are fairly limited in supply. I have a few but not many. I agree about the Populars. In a hobby where superhero comics are most favored, runs of strip reprint type books like the Populars are very much overlooked across the board. Those small pockets of hidden gems very likely aren't on the radar of many collectors & still represent affordable opportunities at cool books that would likely be much more expensive if they were in more mainstream superhero titles. Fiction House's Fight Comics, for example, has a several issue run (15-18 I believe) with a superhero (Super American) that I know several friends are collecting. Fight Comics as a whole are much more collected than Popular comics & that pocket of hero books sell for more than the Populars hero books have traditionally sold for. That however, may be changing ....
  16. Oh sweet!! I'm glad you found a copy, albeit a lower grade one. Yeah, check out that CBM if you get a chance. I will most certainly take great care of those books. Still kinda hard to believe that I won them ....
