  6. Thanks buddy!!! Joe Simon & Stan Lee both signed it!!! I'll see if I can't get a more close-up pic of it sometime.
  7. I took this pic a number of years ago. I just wanted to set out the unbroken section of my Cap run. I tried to tweak it best I could but it still doesn't very good. Oh well, it's still Cap 16-31 solid. There's a 1.5 & 2 1.8s in there for your thread Gino, if I ever get around to individual pics of them
  8. Thanks buddy! The Tec 17, 19, & 26 are mine. Oh & all the Caps are mine
  9. You MIGHT want to limit your process to creating little nameplate stickers for your slabs.
  10. My feeling on trimming is that what's done is done. Who, when, why, where .... you'll likely never know & honestly, why should it matter that much to you? The book in front of you is the book in front of you: you want it or you don't. They were all "trimmed" when they were manufactured (sheared more properly). Another aspect of this is that it's too broad a spectrum to just lump ALL trimmed books into one general category. That's similar to simply saying "restored" when describing a book. There's a MASSIVE difference between a front cover edge trim & a whole book whacked on all three sides!!! Just like a spot of color touch & most of an entire cover being airbrushed. HUGE difference. By my eye, a slight trim is one of the least offensive "problems" a book can have. I don't advocate people to go & trim their books, but it IS done at times in the restoration process, hopefully by a trained professional. If they're priced at what I feel is appropriate, I'll buy them. Once again, what's done is done.
  11. Ricky, you are just an endless fountain of knowledge my sky-scraping friend I have a gorgeous book with the same problem. I'll attach a pic below of it from my photobucket from a few years back. The pic wasn't taken to show the excess paper, but you can still kinda see it if you look close. Not sure what CGC would do with it if I submitted it for grading. I'd about sooner let someone slap me bald headed than RIP the excess away. I SUPPOSE I could sell it raw to someone who likes pretty books with Tarzan covers .... if such a person exists in this day & age ....
  12. I agree! Also, I might add, one of my favorite things to see on a G.A. comic cover
