  1. Love those Qualitys. Lots of good stuff inside. Congrats again! Thanks Russell We sure had a stack to pour thru yesterday, didn't we? In fact, here's one that I liberated from it's holder but have yet to grab a pic of it raw. However, it WAS available for thumbing at yesterday's festivities White pages don't suck

  3. Love it! I bet that white paged Crack would be killer in hand if it was cracked!
  4. Thanks Billy Boy Here's a pic with the label so folks know what they're lookin' at
  5. Though NA 24 is my favorite, NA 25, 26, 27, and 28 are indeed rarer. How rare is NA 13 in comparison since it is designated as Rare by Overstreet and is also given a SI rating of 10 by Gerber in his Photojournal? No doubt those watery theme adventure covers are just so much better such as NA 25, 27, 30, 31, etc. Honestly NA 13 is probably still rarer. NA 25-27 are so much more desirable though that they come to market much less often. I have seen 3 NA 13's for sale over the last 5 years, and only two each of 25-27. Most of those were low grade or restored. Just my NA 15 is the other extremely tough issue. In fact, it has fewer copies on the census than 13, 25 and 27: I'm actively looking to buy copies of New Adventure 15 & 25 if anyone knows of any for sale. Evident by the condition of the 37 I recently posted, I'm open to just about any grade & restoration is never a problem for me, so long as it's disclosed up front
  6. Thanks RHG, I only seek out certain covers in this genre, but sometimes I notice things that expand that list. Like the D.C. "hat popping off covers" maybe there can be a "bikini top popping cover" subset someday
  7. Congrats! That's a sweet copy Ditto...That right there is another Super neat copy of a super neat and tough book!!! Well done huge congrats!! Thanks buddy I had lots of competition on it for sure.
  8. Absolutely Love this one!!!!! Awesome acquisition!!! Thanks Gino ol' pal It's a beater, but it's all I could find
  9. OH so you were the one that outbid me Congrats! It is a pretty book. Oh ..... er ... sorry SW I had no idea it was a boardie behind me. Not that I owe them any business, but if you still want a copy, Metro has a slightly nicer 6.0 with ow/w pages on their site. More money too, but it IS a higher grade
  10. Congrats! That's a sweet copy Thanks much sir It's hard to find them above 6.0. In fact, I think there's only one graded above 6.0.
  11. Now that's my type of book! Thanks Steve I have a strong feeling that you & I would be fishing the same pond in most cases when it comes to funny books I like killer pages as well
  12. Elastic malfunction was a big problem back then ....
  13. I'd sure like to go to your "local shows". I never see MLJs like that at any of mine... Ha! Exactly. My 'local' shows are the NYC and Boston Cons, and nobody pulls an un-slabbed Pep or any other MLJ out of a random box at either. They are usually behind a piece of glass at HA or CC as an auction preview, or insanely overpriced on someone's back wall. On an semi-related note, in my work travels I am constantly searching for comic stores that I can pop into for a few minutes to continue the search -- recently did this on my way from Vancouver to Seattle (but the following seems to apply everywhere) and I'm thinking some of these store names really need an upgrade ... 'Lost World of Wonders', 'Nostalgia Central', 'Blah Blah Blah of the Past'. Thinking most of these places could get away with names like, 'This Week's Comics', 'Sold Our One GA Book on eBay' and 'Trading Cards You Can Buy Anywhere'. To anyone still stumbling upon MLJs at cons or your lcs, I salute you! Thanks guys! Yeah, it's not lost on me how lucky I've been on the local show scene lately Sometimes a guy goes a long time without seeing anything good show up. I'll never quit looking though
  14. If you ever want to get back out of the title,I'd be happy to buy the batch.. Great books Jimmy! Thanks Pal Yeah, that seems to be my pattern, doesn't it? I get out of the run & sell them all to you! Let's see ..... you've got my old 12, 16 & 29 as I recall
  15. Congrats on joining the Adventure 37 club. That is hands down the best issue of the run. I'm still hoping to someday pickup a copy of Double Action 2 to go along with my copy....a man's gotta dream, right? It was my dream as well. Fortunately, I was able to pursue that dream decades ago when the books were affordable. I need a bib when I look at that book....thanks for the share-truly awesome! Thanks IF, thanks Damian & Knights too! This thread has fired me up & got me searching for others!!
  16. WOW, very nice copies RHG!!! I've never known the Double Action to be affordable.
