  1. Actually, wasn't on the rise at c2e2 , at least not from what I could tell. There were a lot of reasonably priced copies and didn't appear any of them sold this weekend (now asm 129 a diff story) Well I bought 2 copies of DD #1 in C2E2 my data chomping (G.A.tor) friend, so a "couple" sold at minimum. Here's the nicer of the 2, a nice, solid 4.5ish example with nice pages.
  2. I got this beauty in C2E2 (along with the DD #1 I just posted) and it's a mid grade stunner (around 5.5ish)!!! Expensive in HIGH grade, this'll do gang, this'll do
  3. I don't get on here much & usually in the G.A. area when I do, but I've been on a Silver buying spree & love them so much I wanna share 'em SOLID 4.5ish unrestored copy!!! PERFECT for thumbing through
  4. AWESOME stash of Hits RJ!!!! Having seen them all in person, I can attest to the ... um ..... "Quality" of, not only the interior artwork (notice how many are raw gang), BUT to the ... um ..... "Quality" of your copies Well done indeed!!!
  5. Awesome! Is there a more dynamic anatomically well rendered cover from the GA? Reed Crandall's first Stormy Foster cover is certainly a classic and compares favorably to any modern era covers by talented artists the likes of Brian Bolland, Dave Stevens and Alex Ross. My Thanks Cat I was quite taken with it when I saw it, not having remembered noticing it before. I think the reason is that a LOT of people end their run at issue #17, the last Lou Fine cover. I think the Crandall covers are really under-valued!! I must admit, once the Kid Eternity covers start & the logo gets small, so does my interest in the title
  6. SWEET copy Billbo!!!!! I bet it looks AWESOME out of that holder
  7. LOVE it G.A.tor!!! Metro had most of the run for a while, but now only has the "not processed" #4 left. It's been awaiting "processing" for a few years as I recall. Busy over there .... ANYWAY, great copy pal
  8. LOVE my Hit 9, which I got last year in Chicago! Mid grade & pretty, but feels much nicer in hand
  9. NICE!!!! don't forget for the future the more you post the happier the rest of us are!! Another gem!!! Thanks Gino I go through my moments of seclusion
  10. I only got it 'cause a buddy upgraded Thanks again for that Russell
  11. Currently, this is my only other National but it's a goody with super white pages, which I know because I broke it out Ask Russ, he about fell over when he saw them
  12. It's been quite a long time since I've posted regularly on here, so I can't remember if I posted this before, but since people are posting their copies, here's mine. It's actually more colorful than this scan .... maybe I'll snap a pic someday
  13. Love that book. Considering how tough it is, I'd consider that high grade for sure. Completely agree - that's a lovely book! Here's another very scarce Quality, I've never seen one above mid-grade: Both of those Hits are Over the fence!! Thanks Gino, much appreciated pal!!!
  14. Love that book. Considering how tough it is, I'd consider that high grade for sure. Completely agree - that's a lovely book! Here's another very scarce Quality, I've never seen one above mid-grade: Thanks Steve! I agree that's a toughie .... I don't have ANY copy
  15. Love that book. Considering how tough it is, I'd consider that high grade for sure. Thanks mrmyst It's one I don't plan on upgrading.
  16. Thanks Marty The year is off by several decades, but the date is my birthday!!!
  17. It was sad to see this great thread buried on the 13th page, so I figured I should bump it with an addition. Sorry about the bad scan, it was the one from the auction. It doesn't matter anyway, as I cracked it right out of there. On my next scanning bout, I'll grab one of this book & post it
  18. I was pretty happy to pick this one up a while back. I think it might be the highest graded copy, even though it's not technically "high grade". Go figure
  19. Here's a fun recent pick up with a meaningful cover date to me .... it's also a Church copy
  20. Here ya go RM. I love it too,and think it's the best mirror cover as well. I'm SO happy to see that you cracked it out of the slab Russell!!! Now we can enjoy the ENTIRE book Well done!!!
