  1. I couldn't agree more Billy-boy!!! I can't imagine why in the world Everett didn't get the cover assignments for the whole run!!!!! Check out the splash page from Subby 39 I posted in the "You've seen the covers" thread. Everett drew Subby the best!!! Then Schomburg. Just my opinion. I think Schomburg's Human Torch and Caps are the best but Subby was Everett's creation and no one drew him better. I agree. I love Schomburg's Cap and Torch, as well as his Subby too. Schomburg Cap covers (especially before they get small) are my favorites Sweet Subby 33 by the way (thumbs u

I just now noticed that you just posted your whole Subby run in the past couple of days Billy-boy!!! WOW!!! THAT is something my friend. I wanna look at them in 3 weeks

  4. Thanks David!! Let me tell ya, you've been posting some BOOKS my friend!!! Red Raven You coulda slapped me baldheaded when I saw that and I wouldn't have even FELT it
  5. Although not an actual Timely, I still wanna post this Atlas Subby in this thread due to the fact that this run started as a Timely and this is probably the place where this book will get the most love. I sold most of my Atlas superhero books, but just can't seem to part with this one. Great Everett cover!!!
  6. FANTASTIC work West!!! I can't tell you how helpful this list is!!! I'm positive there are more out there and when I can give you exact issue numbers, I will. This may take me some time, but I WILL have some info for this list in the future (thumbs u
  7. Beerbolm has many books listed as Tom Reily books. Unfortunately most of them look really wrong. Some are brittle, some have color touch and most show none of the correct arrival dates or stamps. Only 1 of them looks correct & I added it to the list a while back. Are you thinking that the Captain Midnight 25 may be a Reilly book West?? It's possible, but it's odd to me that the date stamp is the same date as the cover date of issue. It's certainly possible that it is a Reilly though. Check out the Bat 21 that he's selling as a Reilly. I'm inclined to believe the one posted here a day or two ago is the actual Frisco I should probably clarify that the reason the date stamp (arrival date) seems odd to me, is that most Reilly's that I've seen that have an arrival date stamp, the date stamp is usually 2 months prior to the cover date. In point of fact, I think pretty much every such book posted in this thread supports that theory. I'm no expert, by any means, but I've yet to see a Reilly book where the arrival date stamp and cover date match.

  13. they are. and apparently cgc had a change of heart about timely "file copies" sometime between old and new labels. west's old label says "file copy," my new label usa 2 at top of page does not. tho' i feel sure that the "file copy" appellation does not really add to the value of these books like a true pedigree would, i'd still like to have mine say it. The holes on the Sub #10 are the most unobtrusive I've seen posted. Maybe that is why they were so forgiving? I agree; I would want it to say file copy! I could be wrong about this, but I would tend to think that they did away with it more due to the lack of any actual proof that the books in question are Timely file copies. What would be the criteria: Any nice looking Timely with staple holes is deemed a "File copy"? It seems to me that they wouldn't want to deal with trying to explain how they establish that designation. Once again, I could be wrong.
  14. great looking book jimmy! Well thanks Park!! I still think you should get a jacket like his
  15. Guess who you were bidding against! I suppose we should have some kinda signal, huh?? Just don't use our signal hehe Never Gator
  16. love this one, jimmy. Thanks Billy boy!! Krazy Kat looks kinda angry here, where on most Popular covers, he doesn't. Kinda different from my normal purchases, huh??

  21. Pardon me if I've commented on this book before Surfer, but it's a kill kill kill KILLER copy Seriously now ....
  22. It just goes to show you how hard they are to find: You still have my old copies of 6, 9, and 14, which I sold to you better than a half dozen years ago. I see you upgraded my old 2 and 12. I still want that 6 back if you upgrade Billy boy. Actually, I'd take back the 9 and 14 as well
  23. Who can say no to a 9.6 GA book, especially as pretty as this one? Congrats! Well, not me I guess. Thanks for the praise Thor (thumbs u
