A GREAT Everett cover, showing that he should have drawn more cover duties on the Subby run!

I know that I've posted this 7.0 American edition here before, but it's the Mexican edition that I recently purchased which has me posting it again for comparison. I am also posting inside front & back cover pics plus the centerfold pic. Looking through copies from other countries is like being in an old, familiar house …. and discovering a room you didn't know about!!

My latest.  Syd Shores ain't Schomburg, but he turned out a number of kewl covers with hot bad girls for Timely...

Schomburg's skill at drawing anything mechanical had him illustrating electronic equipment for the Gernsback pulp Radio Craft.  Later on for Ned Pines as well with these schematic illustrations for astrological charts at his regular monthly gig at Better Pub's Everyday Astrology.

The Rhino is pretty cool. I picked up a Dutch edition of the 43 recently too. Having fun with other nation editions lately!

I also submit this for an overlooked issue. It's a great cover and being the first MJ inside ain't too shabby.

I'm a tiny bit late to the Spidey 32 party, but I actually DO have a nice copy.

You are spot on about it being tough finding a nice copy, so perhaps it does get more love than I was aware of. I got VERY lucky when I initially bought it in the mid 90s. I sold it to a pal when I got divorced, but with "first rights of refusal" should it be sold by him. I got it back about 10 years ago. I briefly saw a 7.0 conserved for sale for about $3k, but it disappeared quickly. Ricky has the nicest one I've ever seen (never saw John's Church copy) which is a 9.0 Pennsylvania copy. Maybe he'll see this & post it. It's gorgeous. The census shows two copies in 8.0 after his 9.0, then this lone 7.0, so it IS tough I guess.

It's an odd observation, I know, but Marvel Science Stories & Dynamic Science Stories are very much a mirror image forerunner to Marvel Mystery Comics & Daring Mystery Comics. Marvel Science Stories #1 debuted in November of 1938. It's third issue was cover dated February 1939, as was Dynamic Science Stories #1. Marvel Comics debuted with a small print run in October 1939, with a larger second printing in November 1939. It's third issue (now Marvel Mystery Comics) was cover dated January 1940, as was Daring Mystery #1. That coincidence always struck me as cool.
