  1. You’d be surprised. If it didn’t soak through, it’s likely just on the surface and will almost wipe off. It could even be water soluble ink. Get a makeup pad and lick it just to get it damp. Lightly dab it and see if it starts coming off. You could get lucky. Either way, there’s no way it stays in that slab. I would cut the corner off before I leave it restored as it would be a reminder that I got bent over.
  2. This is a solid 5-5.5. I think people are too rough on 5s
  3. SE of his foot, maybe that whole area. Looks like it could be smeared all over, that might not be removable very easily.
  4. 9.0ish. There's corner wear. Also, it looks like it was pressed too hard and you have a tear on the lower staple possibly. I'm not sure what they would do with that?
  5. I think it see it, the bottom right creases in the black area have smudges. They covered the crease in the black area.
  6. you need to break it out of the slab and erase the color touch off. you likely will not change this to less than a 5.0.
  7. break it out of the slab, that slab ruined the price. There should be an option to prescreen vs restoration.
  8. This is an 8.5 with the bottom right corner, bottom left ding, bottom edge wear, off white pages, lower right edge scrape mark, and the spine ticks. A press will help on the bottom ding, bottom right corner and some on the spine ticks. The bottom edge wear cannot be fixed, the off white page color cannot be fixed. I'll say 9.2 after a press. It does not look like a 9.8 inside the Mylar.
  9. As is, maybe a 7.5. Will press to a 8.5-9....maybe higher. Your pictures are not detailed enough for above 9 grading.
  10. need a press for the slight spine roll. Clean isn't going to do much for this with the white painted cover. probably limited to 9.2-9.4ish with the lines and a rounded corner.
  11. Id want to see a better picture of the top right and top left. If that tick on the shoulder of the logo goes to the spine, that’s a 8.5.
  12. This is a gold mine press candidate. Should press to a 5-6
  13. I think a press will help a lot. 9.0 with a press.
  14. It’s his book, I think we should just help him with grading and get off the high horse. A curl to show a pic and not wearing gloves is just fine imo.
  15. 8.0. Top right edge and color rub in the black and blue areas. Lots of spine ticks. Lower left corner. the topright edge locks this to the 8’s. Clean and press will only make it worse
  16. 8.0 on this one. Back staple, seems a bit aged on the edges, color rub on the back.
