5.0. The back will completely press out. The stain on the back might can be removed from the cover.

I did a quick light press before I put this away. Here’s a better image of the corner.

Kind of amazed at the grades here. I’ve got a 4.5 slab with shorter creases and better corners than this one. 7.0 before the 2 creases. 4.5 with them.

No, I appreciate the feedback and that’s why I posted. That top left corner you guys see is just shy of 1/8” in the spine direction. I’ll try to get a better picture of it. The top of the cover and discoloration was why I asked. I’m having trouble resolving that. edit: above Thor’s head is intact. I can see how that might look lime a split though. The corner area is the 1/8”.

Zz, there is no spine split. The color you see is not staining but aging on the paper. Those are things you can’t see so well with the picture. the aging on the top and top right is what makes it hard for me to assess along with the color. All the color you see aging and the light brittleness I refer to. The staples do have light rust on them.

Gonna go 8.0. Got some rounded corners, some spine color breaks and color rub in the hulk.

Hello, Just posting to see if I can get some grading opinions and also curious if anyone would try to press this? The upper part of the front cover is slightly brittle, but the rest of the book is supple.

It’s a 4.0-4.5. There appears to be staple tears and a tear on the back left cover. Looks like the pages might have some tanning as well, but can’t be fore sure. You have the obvious acculation of other spine ticks, 1” lower right corner light crease, heavier smaller crease on the same corner. It’s priced at about a 3.5-4.0 also, which should alert you. People selling a spiderman 300 will understand the grade.

That’s a 6.5. Looks like you slightly overpaid, but not enough that zi would really care. By the time you send it back and buy another one, it will be worth 530 easy.

These images are post clean and press. I was told the book was 7.5-8.0 due too the spine and staples prior to the work. I think the staples are fine and it was just a bad pick. Regardless, I’d love a grade to confirm my thoughts and work.

I’ve seen several of these and I am wondering where this type of service comes from. It has a grade with CGC name on it, it is attached to the bag with a sticker on the back that seals the bag shut. There is no hard case, ect. This might be CBCS? But I believe I’ve seen both companies do it?

3.5. The 1” horizontal tear and the 1/4” triangle are the biggest factors. Some good judge the book lower on that tear, but the rest of the book looks higher tha. 2-3 range.

4.0 - 5.0 with that stain. This book needs a press and clean. I don’t think the stain will clean completely , but the back cover will looks like it can improve a lot. The front top right and spine will be greatly improved with the press. This is a book that will sell higher than the cgc grade as people will be more lenient than cgc on the stain depending on how well it cleans.

Looks like some rust on the centerfold staples. If so, the back cover is probably mold. I’d put this at 8.0 If the back is dirt. I believe anyone with a brain would not advertise a book with this much dirt. That’s mold. That’s a 6.0 book.

I’m really just hoping for an 8-8.5. I bought this as a 7.5, but it was shipped badly. The bottom right corner had a non color breaking bend. The seller refunded 20% of the sale price. * There is a 3/8” crinkle in the white area of the spidey on the front that does not show in pictures that I can’t seem to get out. *color rub on bottom right front * top right back could use a bit more work.

I did do low end books, this is my first real try. Sorry for not being clear. It’s not really that hard though, really fun actually.
