Hello,
Thank for you for your time. I’m interested in opinions on the grading of this, particularly the staple on the back.
This comic is crisp and has never been opened. All edges and corners are sharp with no wear. There are no bends, or spine dings.
Interresting areas:
1. Ink line on front spine by datebox. This is ink and not a crease. I believe production.
2. Back bottom left corner has color missing on the black area. There is no bend here, unsure on what would have caused this.
3. Back staple stress lines by the staple entry. I feel this is production also, but it does look bad enough make even 9.6 tough if not.
I will be submitting this fairly soon so I’ll update it eventually with the grade. I’d love to have a 9.8 first Scarlet Spider here, but maybe wishful thinking.

8.0. The bottom front corners pull it down.

Gonna go 5.0 pretty much due to the staple tear. This would be a 7-8 without the tear.

I think 9.0. Looks small enough to stay a 9.0

9.4, might press to 9.6

8.0 with top mid front.

That’s the right grade with the sticker residue. Bad luck on that one. You still got a deal though.

Ima say 8.5 on this. That lower left rub is a tough one. Black cover and the newer comics are not durable at all.
-
6.5, will press to 7.0 or 7.5

8.0 pre, 7.5 after. See that vertical bend on the spine on the post pics? That is not suppose to be there.
send it back and tell him to fix it and it will be a 9.0

Agreed , 4.5

3.5 with that stain. You are not removing that without it being restoration or severe messing up the ink around it.

6.0 as is. Needs a clean for sure.

Looks like a 4.0 right now. It should press/clean to a 5.0.
The front vertical bend looks press-able, the beds in the blue on the back look press-able and there’s still dirt on the back. That coupled with you mentioning a humidifier tells me you are not pressing correctly.

This is a 9.0

in Hey buddy, can you spare a grade?

Looking like 8.0 to me. Light Tanning and i see some edge wear. Bottom left corner with some fuzz.
